who owns super round Copilot The Super Round in Super Rugby Pacific is a thrilling event that brings together all 12 Super Rugby teams for an action-packed weekend of rugby. Let’s explore the details: Organizers: The Super Round is organized by the Super Rugby Pacific league itself, which oversees the competition and ensures its smooth execution. It marks a historic moment as it’s the first time all 12 teams have played in one location over a single weekend in the competition’s history1.

CM, "TEG Sports is laughing all the way to the bank" As is NZR.

Yep. It's a good concept if done well. Alas, TEG Sports have taken the absolute piss and delivered a pathetic product for those who can/choose to make it.

Bang on. TEG Sports is laughing all the way to the bank with the Vic Gov dollarydoos. Once again, shoddy KPIs mean that there is no requirement of a provider to actually provide anything. Concept is good. Teams are delivering. But outside of the stadium, there is fuq all. Nothing. The ticketing and pricing is a disgrace as well.

That was one mistake, not great but certainly gave the Drua momentum to start at the halfway line. However that period (50-58 minutes) when Moana was down to 14 men the Drua made multiple errors and penalties giving away territory like a drunk shouting the bar. It cost them 2 tries and against 14 men, seriously that should never happen. The Drua lost by 3 points after gifting 14 points. Even if you tick off Lilo's error and give back 7 points as a Contra, those 2 tries still bit them badly.

I don't think they got the crowds they were looking for, especially for the Kiwi derbies.

No, I can't imagine that. I did make an honest effort, too.

Ypu could say the same about Lilo kicking out on the full which gave the Drua a scrum on the halfway from which they scored.

I didn't but I was rooting for them.

I forgot to say. Later on tonight I will definitely watch a replay the 1st half on Stan, even though I know the result. The speed, ferocious tackles and massive runs are so damned entertaining. I truely thank the Goddess that I was not playing in that match, I would end up in IC for the next week. LoL I can honestly say there were a few matches from last week that I never gave a thought of watching live or even the full replay on STAN. Their 25 minutes highlights is sufficient for a lot of the Round 1 games. This Melbourne based Round two has some fabulous match-ups. I'm drooling over tomorrow's games. Need to buy a few beers though, its a 5-6 hour stint of Ripping Rugby-Fest. :stoked: :rugby:

I think the cash has worked perfectly for them. $$$$ in the bank, job done. If they had other altruistic goals for the concept they would have done it differently wouldn't they?

Roar Rookie
Yeah I am not going to speak for why either organisation has or hasn’t supported it. Out of interest why do you think it hasn’t worked for them specifically? But this weekend is a great taste for what it could be.

TC why didnt Drua get a player sent to the bin and a YC for thae early incident where the Drua player deliberately knocked the ball on after MP kicked crossfield and the winger passed it back in field?

But he didnt see it grounded because it never was. He claimed it was grounded and he claimed he saw it but he was very clearly wrong in all replays.

I would be surprised if NZR renews this concept. It hasn't worked for them.
