The Reds host the Force in an all-Australian match up[ with both teams fighting to make the finals. Join The Roar from 7.30pm AEST for live updates.

Queensland Reds co-captain Liam Wright and lock Seru Uru will return to face the Western Force at Suncorp Stadium.

Uru and Wright are the two changes to the Reds XV who beat Moana Pasifika a fortnight ago, with Jordan Petaia moving to fullback and Jock Campbell to the wing in a reshuffled backline.

George Blake is set for a Queensland and Super Rugby Pacific debut off the bench.

Uru’s return from concussion sees him start alongside Connor Vest at lock, while Wright will reprise his combination with the Fraser McReight and Harry Wilson who re-signed with the Reds through 2025 today.

Co-captain Tate McDermott again partners Lawson Creighton in the halves, with James O’Connor and Josh Flook starting in the midfield.

Blake will potentially debut off the bench, with Filipo Daugunu also returning to the side as a finisher.

Force coach Simon Cron has made three changes to his starting side from the one that beat the Highlanders at home.

All three are injury related, with Test loosehead prop Tom Robertson ruled out with a calf strain, flanker Ollie Callan a neck issue and Toni Pulu concussion.

The 118kg loosehead prop replaces Robertson in the No.1 jersey while returning Force openside flanker Carlo Tizzano makes a welcomed return in the No.7 jersey, three years after leaving the club.

Former England sevens flyer Zach Kibirige also makes a timely return after missing last week’s win and slots in for Pulu.
The other key change sees Gareth Simpson return via the bench, with the halfback missing the past two games. He replaces Ian Prior.

Yeah I'm glad we picked him up.... Actually to be fair he's been not too bad since he came back from his injury

This team is only three years old You need to remember that – comparing them to the Sharpe or Hodgson era is not only unhelpful but unfair. The rebels have taken ten years+ to get where they are.

Only just, but yes, a win. I'm growing so weary from supporting this team for so many years and seeing no material change in our performance. The same issues plague us year after year, discipline, slow starts, disinterest, lack of essential skill and an inability to keep the endeavour going for 80 minutes. How many coaches now, how many recruits and still the same old gallant in defeat result? The Rebels, SR's perennial whipping boys, are showing steady improvement, but somehow not us. Yes, I'm angry and disappointed by what I saw last night - again. So shoot me! Rant over and see you for more mental anguish and cruelty next week.

International forwards will murder him. cj, he would need to get selected for that to happen . . . and that is not a given.

I was being generous. The fact he played for Aus said a lot about how desperate we were to find a 15. As for Wilson… i was a big fan but after tonight i just watched a man run 50 hit ups into a brick wall tine and time again. No foot work. No angles. Just stupid. International forwards will murder him.

Well the Tahs won ugly last night. Tonight it seems the reds also won ugly while the Force lost ugly at the same time. Ah well. Maybe if we all get it out of our system. Next week might be some good rugby.

I think it is all of the Australian teams whose kicking game accuracy needs to improve. Rebels probably the best at it. Good luck next week to Force fans, hope you go well.

Not the greatest game of Rugby. However, I'm glad my Reds got up. McReight and Wright played well, as did McDermott. Great to see Vunivalu putting in off of the ball. For the Force, Stewart, Kibirige their best. Thought Isaac Fines-Lilewasa played well in the first 30 as well. Great to see Beau Abra back playing, he certainly has potential. Spinks goes hard too.
