The Wallabies will welcome France to the cauldron of Suncorp Stadium as both teams look to claim a series victory. Join The Roar for live scores and a blog from 8pm AEST.

With the first two tests decided by just two points, everything is perfectly balanced for the third test decider. Will the Wallabies start 2021 with a momentum-building series win or will they stumble under the pressure and raise more questions than answers?

With the Series on the line, Dave Rennie has made eight changes to his Wallabies side after the frustrating two-point loss in the second test.

Tate McDermott gets the chance to start in the No.9 jersey and will be keen to put in an impressive performance on his home ground to show Rennie that he should be in the discussion for more starting opportunities. McDermott will need to dial up his game management skills as that has been lacking in the first two tests from Australia and they sorely need that skillset in their side.

Up front Darcy Swain and Lukhan Salakaia-Loto will start in the locks with Allan Alaalatoa replacing Taniela Tupou in the front row to give the front five a very Brumbies feel.

With Lachie Swinton getting another go in the Wallabies jersey, Rennie has brought in some genuine aggression into the back row along with the power of Isi Naisarani at No.8. That’s some proper muscle at the back of the pack for the Wallabies and Rennie will hope that these two especially can get his side on the front foot and give his backs time and space.

Those backs will appreciate an extra second or yard especially when you consider that lack of international experience in the exciting line up.

Tate McDermott, Noah Lolesio, Hunter Paisami and Len Ikitau have just 17 caps between them and the French will want to make that lack of experience pay. The Wallabies have a number of exciting potential centre partnerships for Rennie to experiment with and it’s going to be crucial that Paisami and Ikitau look to create genuine chances for the players around them and not just try and smash their way through the French defence.

The French too have made big changes from the Melbourne test with seven of the starting line up being changed for some fresh legs. Much has been written about the youthful French side but it’s worth remembering that whilst some first-choice names haven’t made the tour, this squad still contains talent that has pushed major nations like England in previous outings.

The French will be full of confidence after their win in Melbourne and breaking a losing streak that’s lasted for three decades. They have a real chance of picking up a famous series win in Brisbane and the Wallabies will need to put in a very good performance to stop the series slipping away from them.

Prediction:

With lots of changes to both sides, this could be a messy game that takes a while to find a rhythm and with the series on the line many might struggle under the pressure. It’s hard to pick a winner in this one but the Wallabies will just take it in another close one.

For argie Roarers, Pumas trashed Wales in Cardiff 33-11 and won the series. Even a Wales 2nd team, but another series won by a SH team and away.

Connor, I feel a relief, probably unseen since the McQueen era, that selectors know what they’re doing. Early days and only the first swallows of summer and all that, but I was ready to lose last night and be grateful for some small gains in our Rennievation. French composure in the 2nd test had me rattled. OKeefe shocked me but Lolesio, Swain, Swinton, Hodge, Tupou and Rennie pleased me. Let the quiet development continue.

BO'K had awarded a scrum to Australia for the knock on - check the footage. It was a the TMO or "touchie feelie" that wanted to take it further.

I actually wrote after the Korobete red that seeing there was an all Kiwi panel tonight we had no chance. How wrong I was. I don't think Ben OK was the problem, I actually thought he had a great game. Lets face it, at almost every breakdown a penalty could be awarded, he mostly kept his whistle in his pocket. The TMO was once again the problem. In ref circles it must be considered to be the "dud's" job, so like the nerd at school who gets to become a prefect, the opportunity for revenge is handed to them. Mind you BO'K could have surely over ruled him on both "the tackle", and the number of breakdowns post the knock on before the try was scored. That was just clearly wrong. I actually thought it was a great game because of BO'k.

Credit to them for going for the win, not the draw at the end too

You reckon? I actually don't remember the Wallabies ever winning before with only 14 for 75min. But I could be wrong...

How much better is Michael Hooper playing since coming back from Japan and not playing with the Waratahs? Its like he's playing for the Brumbies again. Well done Hoops, huge effort.

They played with enough conviction will mostly give Fabien thoughts about first team in EOY. But WB must up their game if Bledisloe is going to be competitive. French were not physical nor display any game plays to speak of.

Very ironic piru. Though I’m not sold on the alleged ‘Aussie way’. I’m simply grateful for an apparent ‘competent development way’.

There were two other assistant referee's who could have offered an opinion. The player clearly dropped into the tackle bracing for the tackle. Clearly a mitigation. Don't like O'keefe as a referee. His interpretations of the laws are hard to swallow.

When the Socceroos lost to Italy in the World Cup quarter final(??) in 2006 from a penalty after a doubtful decision on the edge of the box, I remember someone making a video of the supposed Italian team practising taking a dive in the area. However I don’t think the decision yesterday was the result of any acting, just poor judgement by officials under pressure from World Rugby.

Did Ben O’Keefe come from a refereeing soccer tradition before he came to rugby? In soccer, referees respond to soccer players’ great acting display pretending to be severely injured?. After the whistle is blown for penalty, the soccer player’s legs healed magically. Baaed on last night’s game, it appeared to be so. Ben O’Keefe got sucked into the French player’s brilliant acting falling to the ground after several seconds being tackled as though he had 10 fractures on his head and his eye balls had popped out. And after Ben O’Keefe handed Koroibete the RED card, the French player’s head was healed suddenly and his eye balls were magically back in place in his eye sockets. If the accidental knock on the head by Koroibete’s shoulders took place which incidentally because the French player LOWERED his body down, the penalty at worst should only be a YELLOW card. It appears Ben O’Keefe does not know the meaning of ths term “ mitigating circumstances”. Ben O’Keefe was simply HOPELESS and as a referee, he lacked contectual insight into the game’s infringements, and at best, his decision making as a ref is lmuch to be desired, snd at worst, myopic, narrow and clueless. Really, what is wrong with him for failing miserably to understand what is meant by “mitigating circumstances “? To imply he is biased is a bridge too far. Either he should be sent back for refereeing training school or let that game be his last.

Danny I agree 100% all what you said. This silly “head touching with a feather” and getting penalised with a Red card is a sick joke. Might as well change the name of Rugby Union to “Rugby-Soccer”

Rennie coaches like a kiwi. Ironic really as he's got them playing like Aussies again. This is the Wallaby we used to fear in the 90s, it didn't matter what the score was, or how the game had gone, they always believed they could win. Sheer bloody mindedness would carry them through
