Thing is Purdo.
This is the 2nd time he's stated same thing.
He did it on a FoxSports TV interview last yr also and we were all aghast then.
Plus even if it's not true then it's still a very stupid thing to say.
Just creates a rod for your own back when you lose and provides no advantage at all :)
He really is deluded isn’t he. He reminds me of a cat I once had. It would keep climbing up on the table, Dad would whack it off. Never learned. He probably thought he was some kind of maverick as well.
Does not analyse opponents.
Does not know the laws of rugby.
Does not get on well with the media.
Does not rate referees.
Does not win many games.
Next surely…
Does not coach Wallabies
It's hard to believe he really means it. That approach might work at under 15 level if you are teaching the game to beginners, but it won't do for people who are supposed to know the game and tailor the way they play to the opposition they are going to encounter.
Perfect representation.....not most aussies I know. Cheika is an enigma when it comes to coaching. It’s not what I’d say that’s for sure. Maybe this is his last game and he’s trying to outdo himself!
Fionn: Nick Bishop posted this:-
“(We’ve got) lots of respect (for them) but I’m not a big analyser of the opposition,” he said.
“I’m always telling my coaches not to watch the opposition so much.
“They watch too much footage of the opposition. I’m interested in our blokes, our team and our analysis so that it can help us be better.”
And there you go, I suspected that the players do their own analysis on the quiet
What was Cheik’s input into this team again? oh yeah right …poor selection
He is the perfect representation of the Australian psyche at the moment. He views his ignorance as a virtue. He’s defiantly, almost belligerently stupid. He views being mean and ungracious as toughness. And he’s failing. Constantly, consistently failing.
I believe that this is him! I have always suspected that he 'don't do' details, he could have run the charge of the Light Brigade, that would have suited his style.
Sooner gone, sooner chance to improve. No his failings are NOT to do with the cattle available.

Wales studied/analysed Australia and that led to almost 3 interceptions of the Wallaby #9.

It sort of looks like as he says it, he hears the words coming out of his own mouth and starts to realise se how dumb it sounds.

This is just 1 of the many reasons why he's a poor international rugby coach

This video is classic, love the voice over - “unfortunately they will have an opponent”. Nicely done The Roar
