Thanks Christy for the heads up. Interesting match up for me as an Aussie Fijian.Looks like an aerial bombardment is on the cards for Fj, also can see EJ looking to attack the breakdown and donno to kick any points on offer, maybe grab a 50/22 here and there. I know Nic is going to try to slow the tempo down but could be a long day at office if Fiji defence and jackaling is on par and our kick chase and D is crap. For Fiji I would be starting master jackler Botia and tank Tuisosva at 12 for sure with Wainiqolo to replace Ravutamada as he has better D with the latter and Radradra to come off the bench. My heart is with Fiji my head is with Oz, may the best team win.

Wallabies set to back veteran halfback for crunch Fiji World Cup clash, gun fullback misses selection again

Tokona KL, Looking at the way Fiji wants to play I would see Drua 10 Tela as natural replacement. Do’nt see Volavola being bought in as injury cover, reckon in form olympic gold 7s gold medalist Botitu would be the most likely player as he offers something different and plys his trade at T14 club Castres in France.

'Devastating': Fiji rocked by tournament ending injury to fly-half days out from World Cup opener

In all fairness DR is having to rebuild a young team with little depth. It’s a hard grind to play Pumas and Boks best players they have no matter where in the world they play, the NZ depth is phenomenal. Its now high time that we scrap the Giteau law.

'I want the boys to hurt': Everything Slipper and Rennie said about Boks 'choke', Beale, Foley prospects

Lsy just to clarify I mean Rock bottom by the high rugby standards we have always held the AB’s to. Mate btw if the Wallabies deserve to win they will win just like the Pumas, Saffas and Irish did…

Rugby News: 'How All Blacks have become new Wallabies', Bok prop's sly slap at Nic White, Hodge's best attribute for No.15

Hope for the sake of making the game more attractive ARU will nip the NW incident in the bud. If the ABs lose the Bledisloe then they have really have hit rock bottom. Hope the Force go well next season.

Rugby News: 'How All Blacks have become new Wallabies', Bok prop's sly slap at Nic White, Hodge's best attribute for No.15

Mate that physio is the most recognisable face on the team and we don’t even know her name.I’m sure opposition teams are prewarned to stay focused when she graces the field.

Townsend accuses Eramus of 'sledging' Scotland player during water boy duties

LS imo fits the mould of agressive/enforcer No.6 .Just feel that Wilson, Wright and Mcreight as good as they are need to bring out more mongrel! That hard tough no holds bars edge to terrorise defences, every tackle felt. That plays on the yellow card threshold just to sow doubt into the opposition.Saves the Mr Nice Guy image for the after match interviews.I get why DR picks him.

WALLABIES TEAM: Latu starts, Foketi to debut, Daugunu and prop stars return

Japan will put up a fight but this Wallabies team is humming with guys chomping at the bit finally getting a run. We now have the capacity to go 5 in a row as we now know how we want to play.We just got to go out there and execute.

'We're going to back ourselves': Japan's battle cry ahead of Wallabies showdown

Kudos to the coaching team and selectors. So glad we turned the corner and starting to see some consistency in performance and selection after our recent thrashing at the hands of the ab’s, well at least that’s what the scoreboards told us. DR shown his mettle by dropping yellow card magnet Swinton. We can really start to truly believe again. Really happy for Cadbury too 😁

WALLABIES TEAM: Leota the No.6 bolter, McMahon overlooked, Hodge starts and JOC on bench

Not sure about others but this is so demoralising watching the Wobblies getting soundly beaten yet again.
I have zero confidence now in the coach and our selectors! The team? Don’t let me start…

MATCH REPORT: Rennie called for a foot on the throat, but All Blacks' response was 'ruthless'

Bringing players back from os imho is a must given the dire consequences we now find ourselves in. What we are doing now is the definition of madness. Our young Wallabies need to grow next to experienced journeyman to get better.RA owes it to the coach and the Aussie public to provide the best material to work with. DR is not a bad coach ,he just doesn’t have an experienced enough bunch to work with.Sincerely hope we can get back to the good old days when young guns were blooded in slowly.

Would bringing back Wallabies from overseas actually make a difference?

For those peeps who are critical about SK ,have you seen him play at Suntory lately? I never saw him pass so much! Under a different coach he is definitely a better centre now and under DR the best is yet to come 🙂

Retro Rennie's latest blast from the past sees Sevens star called up with starter in doubt

If I may add Highlanders really stepped it up big time lead by the supremely talented world class scrummie Aaron Smith.
Just sincerely hoping that the current Superrugby TT will continue next year.Aussie teams now know where the bar is and if anything Kiwi rugby has exposed serious flaws in our game, we need to evolve. The gulf was always there it’s just that now we can’t hide!
The traditional Superrugby finals series always disadvantaged kiwi teams and I’m glad that now they rightfully deserve to be there and not a second rate Aussie or Saffa team with a serious case of denial.

Brumbies fall to Smith-led Highlanders

It was exasperating and disheartening watching the game last night and yet I’m a Force fan. Couldn’t believe our biggest union with a proud rugby pedigree serving up c#$% like that.Yet Stan covers the Shute shield. This is a big disappointment.Come on NSW Rugby you can do better.

Michael Cheika dismayed by shoddy Waratahs defence

Good to see Te back on the pine.Seeing some good depth in the squad.Force got the smarts, can smell the whiff of a win from across the ditch…

Super Rugby Trans-Tasman Round 3 teams: Ready steady go for the Western Force

Wasn’t intending to say anything but noted that my team the Force being roped in with the others!!!
Have to say the Force is the only working model that’s mixing it with the kiwis.Yet we were banished from SR for 4 years!
If you look at the team sheet and compare it to last year’s it’s like chalk and cheese.
We were brutally honest and accepted we were weak in areas and recruited local and international rugby journey man and current internationals to lift our game.
Only the best for the Sea of blue!
The team is pretty much coaching itself and lifting the local boys.
This clearly is the way forward for Aussie rugby if we have to catch up quickly.

How to fix Australian rugby's trans-Tasman problem

Still can’t understand why Lomani an international experienced Fiji test scrum half is playing on the wing for the Rebels! This pretty much sums up how poor a coach Dave Wessels was. Also just want to say kudos to Western Force forwards coach John McKee former Fiji team coach.Under his charge Fiji forward pack were formidable ,you can see why the Force pack is humming.

Super Rugby Trans-Tasman Round 2 teams: Timani returns for the Force, big names back for the Reds

I’m a Force Fan but have to say that its high time that the NSWRU has a second team ,yes let’s go to 6!,to keep the Waratahs honest! Surely this rabble doesn’t represent all those NSW players.60+ points in the red against the Brumbies are you kidding me?

Six talking points from Super Rugby AU and Aotearoa

In defence of Fozzie even though I’m a staunch Wallabies fan I believe he must back himself and rest everyone if he feels freshness is an issue. Send in another ABs team! They’ve got the cattle. Its time to blood more ABs..

Ian Foster is destined to become the All Blacks' Allister Coetzee

That’s rugby 101 mate, when throwing a punch make sure hand is open or if closed it must have the other guys jersey in it.In saying that Scotty Barrett needs to be more accurate, we could all see that.

Five talking points from Bledisloe 4

We just need him to help win us this game, and then he can take the rest of the year off to mend his whatever.
p.s I reckon he will score the winning try and do his shoulder 😢

Ned Hanigan returns as Dave Rennie makes four changes to Wallabies team for Bledisloe 2

Interesting comments on Ned from my fellow Roarers.I have always felt that he was a young talent that needed to be nurtured but was thrown in with the wolves way too early. He’s played in a team that’s beaten the All Blacks so that’s a plus, I reckon DR is going to bring out the best in him, we need that extra lineout operator too to contest and disrupt the AB’s lineout.I’ve always loved Paenga Amosa and never understood why he got dropped in the Irish Test Series a few years ago. He’s a good allrounder and a gun on the loose.Against the AB’s there is no room for error as they will make you pay! We should have won that first test as we had so much ball! The AB’s with stats against them almost won, feeding off our mistakes!!All the changes made are warranted ,I reckon this team has the goods to go all the way.Go Wallabies!!!

Ned Hanigan returns as Dave Rennie makes four changes to Wallabies team for Bledisloe 2

Mate , thanks for this awesome, heartfelt rugby story. You really made my day 👍

How the Bledisloe gave me back an old friend

ouch ….as a Force supporter living in Perth that hurt. Do I hear Perth Super Rugby Bubble????

South Africa have gifted the trans-Tasman cousins a golden opportunity

Nice article mate,Lance has a great story.
I missed my beloved Force playing and watched replay later.
Have to say absolutely loved the game!
Just loved the way both teams fought hard to win and the Reds deserved winners in the end.
Some beautiful cracking tries scored and skills on show by both teams, that had me gasping in amazement.
I applaud both teams ,I am so happy for Australian rugby ????

Has COVID-19 gifted Lance a Wallaby lifeline?
