GWS have their finals hopes on the line in the final home-and-away match of 2023, needing to defeat Carlton at Marve Stadium to retake eighth spot. Join The Roar for live scores from 6:10pm (AEST).

The Bulldogs’ win over Geelong on Saturday means the Giants will need to either win or draw with the Blues to scrape into September.

Carlton, meanwhile, are entrenched in fifth, and will be without banged-up captain Patrick Cripps; but the lure of heading into finals with a ten-game winning streak will be strong all the same.

Was an opportunity to trial a few things prior to the real stuff . Not at least worried other than blacres and weitering. The early mail is both won’t feature week 1 of September & blacres potentially gone for the year.

If we were playing next week I’d be concerned. But I feel nexts weeks bye is a momentum killer anyway. First game back for Cerra Walsh and McGovern so good for them to get a run. Cripps gets two weeks off. Good chance to reset and regroup and go on to win the last four games.

Not really. 2013 feels like a lifetime ago back in the Judd days. Had two kids at primary school now they’re both driving around and not getting home until 3am in the morning. Hope we at least win a couple of finals to make the wait worthwhile.
