Doesn’t look there is much pride to play for the state.

The previous game was the same, it is as he tries to proof that he doesn’t favour the Force. However the failure to adjust is on us.

You're an unreliable source on NW mate, but I'll keep an eye out in the future for the new version of himself. :rugby:

Coops is never soft on the Force. He appears to go out of his way to demonstrate that he doesn’t favour his home side. Last night’s effort was way below Super Rugby level.

That is not where we lost the game. Penalty after penalty almost one per minute at the start of the game cost is this match. If they thought Coops will go soft on then they forgot the previous game he officiated. That poor discipline is on the coach as it is systemic to the way we play this year. Players that don’t adjust to the officials are not professionals.

I think it's quite clear we have the players in Australia. They are just so poorly coached in 3/5 franchises. This is where the centralisation needs to come in. RA actually being able to have some say in who coaches the franchises. Kevin Foote and Simon Cron are not up to it at all. I know the Force have injuries and a prop suspension, but we had easily enough cattle to win that game. What's crazy is under Sampson at least we were competitive. Players like Feleti and Callan are regressing under Cron. We lost two of the best local prospects in McDonald and Pugh in recent years too. What's the point of the academy if we re-sign an over-the-hill Prior and lose McDonald. Or bring in Harris from the Tahs and lose Pugh.

Not much to say tonight mate, that was hard work

Donaldson is not the problem. The problem is discipline.

So the question then becomes, were the Reds always this good but kept back by poor coaching or has Kiss brought some magic elixir that has turned good players into very good within 6 months?

I wonder how the game might have played out if two professional rugby players had figured out how to draw and pass for a 7 point try early.

I would have accepted he was headed out for pasture but he has been brilliant. Kicked very little, which shows it was an instruction, and his service is so fast and accurate. He's at every breakdown, pick up and gone - straight to the recipient. Nobody in Oz does it better. Certainly, nobody in Perth.

I think Donaldson has the Michael Hooper effect. So basically you have a really great player in Donaldson/Hooper but you can’t drop them right? What do you do? Play other blokes out of position. Burey was awesome at the back end of last year for the Force at 10 before Donaldson shafted him to 15. Also see Charlie Gamble pre Michael Hooper 2022.

This is pretty disappointing, I had to do something after half time so I missed the rest, but discipline aside i thought the force were the better team in the first half, so i was pretty sure Cron would get them to shape up.. to see that they've lost it and their fans are pissed is a real bummer... I like heaps of their players, Hamish, Burey, Tizzano is cool, Horton looks like he has the world's most annoying sense of humour with some of his try celebrations but he's a cool player... Donaldson, I trashed him last season but he's growing on me now... I like their young captain.. and they're definitely better than they were last year but.. last year at least 3 Aussie srp teams had endless issues with discipline costing attacks and momentum.. this year it looks like, broadly, only one of them still does

I didn't think of it that way but you might be right. Must say, by comparison, MOA played in an attractive style.

Twiggy should sack everyone of them and recruit WA bred players only who have some pride playing for WA. Yes we'd loose, but at least it would be 100% WA playing with guts. As a foundation member I've had it.

Pretty poor quality match, won by two quality moments. Congratulations Moana Pasifika on winning two matches in a season for the first time.

cs: Looked like the Tahs on a bad day. Well of course they do, their big 3 signings of late were Tah rejects. LoL
