Fresh off his first weekend as ARU director, Scott Johnson has taken quick action by nominating Melbourne Rebels playmaker Quade Cooper as his preferred option for the national team…
I think Johnson may well see in Cooper a bit of Finn Russell. He may well favour Cooper’s attacking intent if his time at Scotland is anything to go by.
QC would be lucky to tackle a Ham Sandwich on a Good Day... Playmaker???
Take the line on??? Track record says it all... When the going gets tough the tough gets going....
I think that Foley and Beale are doing everything humanly possible to make their Wallaby spots untenable. Beale had another shocker on the weekend and Foley was invisible(lol)
What is going to be interesting is the selection committee meeting (would love to be a fly on ther wall). Cheika may not have any option but to accept Johnson's picks if O'Connor goes along with Johnson. The alternative may be a eitherI select the team or I go from Cheika. This would not surprise at all.
The Rebels have far more provincial players than the other franchises.
The Brumbies are short on. The Tutahs are pretenders and the Reds are on L plates.
Only six players need resting nationally the rest need all the football they can get.
I’ve watched the Reds / Rebels game twice ; Coleman did nothing ; Big, slow and BS.
Well, old Quade certainly made his former comrades and coach at the Reds look like a bunch of mugs on their performance Saturday night.
If I was a Reds fan I would seriously be taking a good look at the coaching staff and question are they competent.
It's March 31 here in Seattle- where's the rest of the article, seriously, where is it? You could have gone so much further with it.
What mince of emotions went through Bernard's mind when he saw the headline.
Got me too. Thanks though...had forgotten was 1st April.....will now be alert !
Years ago BBC News in UK had great report on the spaghetti harvest in Italy....beautifull trees with a superb crop of spagetti hanging low from all the branches.
That one caught a lot of people too....the one's who think milk comes from supermarkets, not cows !!

I do agree. The big problem with Foley and Beale at 10 and 12 is rhat both are tackle shy.

Foley is amongst the greatest players Australia has ever produced. To even joke that some other player surpass him is uncalled for.
