Yep Adsa, I can understand your disappointment at end, certainly was in balance wasn't it? I still not keen on golden point or whatever it called, but for this game as a Canes man am prepared to accept it. :stoked:

Petaia and Vunivalu … will be interesting to see if Schmidt gives either the time of day. Really like the inside backs that QLD is building… McDermott, Lynagh, Paisami, Flook and also HMP

All 3 Barrett’s strike me that way. They’re hard to dislike.

“ Flook, McReight, Wright all stand outs” Yes , there were stand outs. And a couple of drop offs.

I was not woeful and nor were the other people in the stands around me, in truth the overall sentiment was we were delighted at the quality of rugby over the weekend.

Yeah, I don’t think he is a good defender.

I thought so too, he didn’t run it back with the intent that a guy of his size ought.

Agree on that Doc. Was a great weekend watching the games live. I thoroughly enjoyed all the games. Unfortunately I didn’t get to Fridays, but would have been great with another 20k. The quality of the games deserved it. But the crowd that was there was colourful and vocal.

Preview listed James Doleman as Ref. Yes I watched it and slumped at the end.

Or needs a stint overseas. Definitely not a 15. Maybe SR winger at best

James Doleman wasn't involved in the game. Jordie Way, Damon Murphy and Nic Berry, did you watch it Adsa?? I actually thought they were good as to be honest , only mentioned where they from as respnse about ref!

I saw Alex Hodgman run into a knee about the 27 minute mark so no surprise that after full time he was walking around with his head all bandaged up. Just hope the dreaded concussion doesn't bite him. Chiefs would be licking their chops watching the Canes push the Reds scrum around, so Reds need Hodgman next week big time. And yes, he qualifies for Australia which is great news. Especially when watching the F#@* 6-Nations teams, half of them filled with Kiwis, Saffers and Aussies. :crying:

Disappointing but also really happy with the way we played. We didn't even knock it out of the park with plenty of room for improvement.

Leroy, Perese at centre is a disaster at tier 1 international level. His reading of defence lines is all over the place, his main (one) forte is he has great leg drive when tackled. I do remember D.Coleman saying that he wanted Perese to learn to be the wide ruck pest to protect the pill when Tahs run the ball. Personally I think he would be a really good winger, which is where he was when he started at Qld around 5-6 years ago. The outside centre gives him a head of steam and says "run over them, mate!" and he likely will. Am not too sure if he can cover high kicks though.

Angus Blyth is back next week and the Irish fella went all right off the bench. Accurate on the props but our Australian kiwi (he's qualified for Aus right now) Hodgeman went off injured after half an hour worringly.
