Blame the ref … That the Waratahs had no solution to the Blues physicality of course the refs fault ..They really deserved more protection from those Kiwi bullies :silly: …..

Are RA and the NZU paying this referee or is it 'World Rugby'? How on earth can they decide to pay someone to make their major domestic product as unappealing to potential fans as possible?

I’ve been boring people here about him forever but especially since his play on the A tour here last season whilst the WC was going on. The same nasty work on defence, the same elite quality ruck work, the same excellent lineout work, but with powerful carrying and good hands - passing to people in a better position. A 6 we’ve missed for a decade

Hope so- backed him years ago - except for his attraction for yellow.

Yep good call … the guy has talent and a prodigious left boot. However, even with Will Jordan out for at least 6 months, there is some talent that cannot be overlooked. Beauden Barratt (10/15) Damien MacKenzie (10/15) Shaun Stevenson 15/11 Reuben Love 15 Zarn Sullivan 10/15 Perofeta of course (ignoring the shocker Sat Even Jordie Barrett 15/12 The cup runneth over …

I agree mate. I just think there is more to talk about in terms of the game. The refs are the refs… like my team the Chiefs who lost to the Reds. They were beaten by a more enthused forward pack I felt. I wasn’t really looking closely at the refs decisions. I was more interested in where the team and players can and could do better. Yet half the comments post the game were about Finau’s late tackle on Lynagh and that morphed into kiwi refs are biased, Finau is a thug etc. But to your point, it doesn’t help putting that sort of thing into headlines except perhaps the people making the headlines think based on the comments by posters this will get more clicks.

I was more referring to the fact that the guru’s at the Roar decided to put it in a headline. Supporters are always going to find reasons to be miffed at refs. But to actually point to it in a headline…. That treatment on the Roar is reserved for a select few.

Or the Reds when they play,or the Brumbies when they do or the Wallabies... what is interesting if you watch the live feed, and an Australian team falls behind all tbe posts are about the ref, then if the team regains the lead it is back to the game. Add to that the highly knowledgeable commentary team who talk up what they consider missed opportunities to penalise.. it is a bit of a whinge fest. In this game, the commentators mentioned a high tackle where a Blues player got his hand to the shoulder of a player that immediately fell off and a late tackle which was the decoy runner running into the opposition who made a half-baked tackle which the decoy runner attempted to milkeven yhpugh the gane was going in theopposite direction and the whole thing had zero impact... it them blew up on the live roar feed... I no longer read the roar live feeds except for the score if I am out unless it is a game without an Australian side or one where the Australian side is winning. And funnily emough I was accused of being someone who threatens refs, I imagine based on being a kiwi and a large dose of ignorance, by a guy whose only posts on the live feec are negative comments about the ref. I an not sure what the solution is, but maybe if commentators weren't so quick to start bashing the ref as soon as their side falls behind, try a d attempt to see the refs reasoning and be impartial, just maybe the game would be more interesting a d dans a bit less feral. But in truth who knows.. maybe that is what excites some people about the game.

I reckon Zarn Sullivan has to be in the squad as a first five and fullback option.

Perofeta just played himself out of an ABs jersey. I think they’d be crazy not to find a loophole to have Mo’ounga back in the starting XV. Looking thin outside MacKenzie. Brett Cameron has been the second best kiwi 10 imo.

Looks like that game, Waratahs A vs Brumbies Academy, was a tight one - only saw a few highlight minutes. Poor decision making by Waratahs A at the close to give away a penalty for not releasing - similar story to Waratahs - they just don't hit attacking rucks enough.

Yeah hopefully they look to play through the hands more. The only way those handling errors improve is if they get more ball through the hands.
