The Brisbane Broncos host the defending premiers Manly Sea Eagles tonight in a blockbuster clash at Suncorp Stadium. Will the Broncos return to the winners circle at the annual Suncorp Stadium double header? Join us for live scores and commentary from 7.00pm AEST.

Brisbane are now 7-2 after going down to the Warriors last weekend. In a brutal match across the ditch, the Broncos were outplayed after losing Peter Wallace early in the contest.

Ben Hunt’s selection at 7 means plenty of pressure for boom rookie, Corey Norman. The young five-eight toiled last weekend but struggled with the added pressure of steering the ship.

Manly might be without Keiran Foran, but the Eagles cover his loss far easier than the Broncos cover Wallace’s absence.

Brisbane superstar Justin Hodges is in serious doubt with a foot injury. If he is ruled out, Michael Gillett will move to the centres. Captain Sam Thaiday was reportedly in doubt with a rib injury, but will take his place in the backrow.

The Sea Eagles were lucky last weekend to take the two points from a gallant Canberra side who fought to the final whistle at Brookvale Oval. Manly wont be that bad again tonight, so expect a very different side tonight.

Both sides boast two of the best forward packs in the game and you get the feeling these Manly forwards have a point to prove against these Broncos from Brisbane.

The battle up front is a mouth watering prospect with two very experienced engine rooms going against each other. The contest between Ben Hannant and Petero Civoneciva against Brent Kite and Jason King will go along way to determining tonights winner.

Brisbane’s ability to shut Daly Cherry-Evans is their true test tonight. The young Queenslander returns to his home state with the mission of handing the Broncos their third loss of the season.

    Prediction: Eagles by 6.

Can the Broncos bring down the Eagles or will Manly show why they are indeed the defending premiers? Find out from 7.00pm AEST as we cover the action with live scores and commentary and if you’re watching or following along, leave us a comment in the space below.

could almost feel that happening to the poor broncs in the last 10 minutes of the game. always felt manly would snatch it. unfortunately it had to be the last play of the match!! parker will rue those missed kicks that kept manly in the game, but manly showed why they are so tough to beat. getting sick of toovey though, little bugger.

disappointing for sure, but at least they know they can match it with the likes of manly. now for melbourne in a couple of weeks. impressed how the broncs got out of the little lull at the start of the game, manly looked like they were doing it very easy. poor kick in the lead up to the winning try by norman. put some height on the kick man, only a minute and a half to go. instead a dinky little chip that goes straight into williams hand. and then some terrible defence to let matai through and the long run into euphoria. copley, get off your try line you fool and make a play. deer in headlights that boy.

stayed for the 2nd game and was happy i did. not a bad game at all. titans played well. dogs looked like they could do what they wanted if they felt like it, but seemed not to actually want to. barba, pass the ball son.

What you mean by ‘poor broncs ‘? Should never feel sorry for a 1 team town. Sounded like a very evenly matched end to end game

The Blues are going to do the same this year in Origin by snatching victory at the death. The tears falling from up North will sound monsoonal.

Easily the game of the year. Manly looked dead at times through the second half but somehow kept themselves in the game. Brisbane were amazing once again and if Parker kicked some goals, it may have been a different story. It only took Manly one shot to steal victory and they took it.
Full time and the defending premiers have won by 2 in an absolute classic at Suncorp Stadium.

      David Williams Try

Manly win a classic!! Matai streaks down field and finds Taufua. Manly 20 out and spread to their right, quick hands from G.Stewart who tips onto Lyon who draws the winger and gives Williams a run to the tryline. What a try! What a game! Not a big test, the ultimate test. Thats why their the premiers!

Top effort Guru. At work on night shift with no radio so your updates have been top class, especially for me being a mighty Eagles supporter. Cheers. Go Manly
