Seven rounds into the 2013 NRL season and the top four teams have made themselves obvious.

I know it is too early to pick who will do what later on in the season, but I believe it has become quite clear-cut at this stage.

My first team to make the four is the defending champions the Melbourne Storm. Melbourne I think will be the team to beat this year as they have been for the majority of the time in recent years.

They are good but not unbeatable. Their mortality was shown no more than in their 40-0 grand final loss in 2008.

Melbourne shows structure and poise, and has all the features of a great team. I think Melbourne is a great team but rely to much on their main men.

My second team to make the eight this year is the Manly Sea Eagles. Manly finished fourth last year in the home-and-away season, and lost to Melbourne in the Preliminary final.

Manly were written off by many before the season claiming they had an ageing roster, but in the first seven rounds of the season of this season Manly have looked enthusiastic and solid in defence and lethal in attack.

I like the look of the Sea Eagles and they are my premiership tip.

My third is the South Sydney Rabbitohs. Souths were unbeaten through the first five rounds, and to me looked solid and only a in form storm stopped their winning streak.

Souths forward pack is what I think will bring Souths to the finals in the third place. I think the Rabbits could become the Premiers.

The team that rounds out the four is the Sydney Roosters. The Roosters recruited heavily over the pre-season.

There were questions about how well the new players and coach would gel. I think they have become a formidable force a lot sooner than people thought they would.

The Roosters are big title contenders because of their strong halves pairing. The Roosters are the dark horse in this competition race.

Who do the Roarers think will make the top four?
