After Saturdays game and with conspiracy theories running rampant, I would like to ask what Cowboys fans think should happen with the realities that face the NRL vs what will happen.

We all know about the seven tackle try and the hand of Foran the year before.

To me its a bad result. Shocking, considering the number of officials on the field, not to mention the 13 guys running around in white, blue and yellow.

Even more unbelievable is that Jonathan Thurston, a man that likes to get chatting to the men in pink and tell them what they are doing wrong, didn’t talk to the referees right after it was scored and asked for it to be reviewed.

Surely he can count to six?

The comments from Brent Tate, Neil Henry and Thurston didn’t help their cause much either.

Yes they were gutted from losing a close game, but it comes across as sour grapes.

Some of the comments were downright accusing the NRL of taking them out of the finals without one shred of proof.

They are lucky the NRL had to cover for an appalling refereeing decision and that they won’t be fined.

But to the fans – what should happen? Replay the game? Give the win to the Cowboys? I can’t see them getting anything but a stumbling apology and the promise that it won’t happen again. The ref will be dropped, we move on.

The Sharks didn’t make the referee award them seven tackles, it shouldn’t come back on them.

If a replay is what you want, when? The finals is in full swing and they risk disrupting the whole finals series for it.

The NRL would stand to lose more money and standing with public.

An investigation? It won’t find anything.

If, and it is a big if the NRL has it in for interstate teams, nothing would be written down or have any evidence of it.

All an investigation would bring is referees to do some basic maths courses.

What about the interstate clubs leaving the NRL (has been tossed around by some on this website)?

This is at the more ridiculous end of the outrage, but if someone has the money to do it go right ahead. Nothing would benefit rugby league more than another Super League war.

I’m sure that some that want a breakaway comp haven’t thought about the cost and logistics of running a comp. Plus the legal and insurance obligations, then having to have enough talent to run around.

Super League one nearly killed the game, I don’t think we need to try and kill it again.

Over to you sports fans. What do you think will happen vs what will happen?
