AFL Finals: Week 2 teams – Steve Johnson to miss

11th September, 2014
0

The second week of the 2014 AFL Finals sees the Geelong Cats come up against the North Melbourne Kangaroos at the MCG on Friday night, followed by the Fremantle Dockers hosting the Port Adelaide Power at Patersons Stadium on Saturday evening.

North Melbourne fans will be smiling with the news that Steve Johnson has failed to recover from a foot injury and will miss for the Cats.

Geelong’s ruck stocks have also taken a huge blow with Hamish McIntosh ruled out with a knee injury.

Brent Harvey returns to bolster the a Roos side that will be at full strength on Friday night.

Hayden Ballantyne is big loss for Fremantle, ruled out with a broken jaw. He kicked four in their win against the Power two weeks back, and could be the X-factor the Dockers sorely miss.

Port Adelaide speedster, Matt White, has recovered from his own jaw injury suffered against the Tigers, meaning the Power will field an identical squad to week 1 of the finals.
