Fresh off their win over Argentina, Scotland host New Zealand at Murrayfield. Join The Roar from 4:30am (AEDT) for live scores and updates.

Scottish coach Vern Cotter will will have prepared a sound game plan for his troops today.

With the Gray brothers leading the charge up front and Greg Laidlaw marshalling the backs, the Scots will provide plenty of problems for the Kiwis.

New Zealand fans will also take great interest in the ‘kilted Kiwis’ – Sean Maitland, Blair Cowan and Finn Russell – who spent time playing club rugby for Lincoln University in Christchurch.

The Scots have never managed a win against New Zealand but they may fancy their chances, with coach Steve Hansen naming a very green starting side, particularly in the tight five, with Jeremy Thrush partnering Dominic Bird and a starting front row of Charlie Faumuina, James Parsons on debut and Joe Moody.

The Scots might just be licking their lips a little.

The backrow sees captain Richie McCaw moved to blindside in favour of Sam Cane on the openside, and Victor Vito making a rare start at number 8.

Dan Carter returns to the starting team, partnering TJ Perenara in the halves, and the centre combination is Ryan Crotty and Malakai Fekitoa, which many would suggest is the future of the All Black midfield.

In a surprising turn, Colin Slade has been named on the right wing with Ben Smith at the back and Charles Piatau completing the team on the left. One would assume that Slade will provide cover at first five with no specialist on the bench. Augustin Pulu, Sonny Bill Williams and Julian Savea are covering the backs and provide plenty of strike power if required.

Wyatt Crockett, Ben Franks, Dane Coles, Liam Messam and Luke Romano round out the All Blacks’ bench.

Today’s match promises to be an entertaining affair and we hope you can join in the live blog.
