FULL TIME:

Chicago Bulls 91 – Cleveland Cavaliers 106

Huge game from LeBron James. The headband is back. James was super aggressive in the first half.

He says: “We’re banged up, we’re shorthanded. I had to be aggressive, even more than usual. I was happy to make a couple of plays.”

Shumpert’s injury is the last thing they need, but they have a day off to get to Chicago.

James says it’s tough at Chicago’s home arena. That’s certainly been the case this season.

James says the headband will be a ‘game time decision’ with a smile.

So, 1-1 as the series heads to the Bulls. JR Smith returns, Shumpert has an injury cloud, and the Bulls will need to be super, feeding off their crowd.

The Bulls put in a solid performance in Game 1, securing a 99-92 victory. They came out of the gates strong and despite giving up their lead in the second half, never allowed the Cavs to hit the lead.

Then, when it counted, they pushed their advantage out to as much as 16 to put the game out of reach.

Kyrie Irving was the best for the Cavs with 30 points, while LeBron managed just 19 from an unimpressive nine of 22 shooting.

The Cavs aren’t getting Kevin Love back anytime soon, but Love will return to the bench with the side.

Tristan Thompson is off the bench and will start, with Mike Miller to offer assistance off the seats.

For the Bulls, Derrick Rose was super impressive with 25 and they’ll need him to be strong again. There was an injury concern late in the game with his shoulder but Rose emerged unscathed and will start.

James and co will be out for vengeance – we hear he’s wearing the headband again! – and we’ll be following along.
