Manly veteran Willie Mason says there are several NRL clubs interested in his services but he is in no rush to decide his future.
He conceded Friday’s clash with the Sydney Roosters would be his last home game at Brookvale Oval.
The 35-year-old has not been offered an extension on his one-year deal with Manly but he believes he still has plenty left to offer the game.
“There are a few clubs that are interested,” Mason said.
“I’m not really going to make a decision in the next two weeks.
“Those decisions are for my manager Sammy (Ayoub) to make. He’ll ring me when a club is there and if a coach wants to meet me.”
Mason will return against the Roosters from a two-week shoulder charge ban.
He insists he is up to a 17th year in the top grade having debuted with Canterbury in 2000.
The former Australian and NSW prop has also had stints with the Roosters, North Queensland and Newcastle.
He has a burgeoning media career, and is a regular panellist on the Sterlo on the Couch program on Fox Sports, and hopes to stay in Sydney so he can continue to concentrate on it.
While there are only two weeks left in the season, he says he is confident of striking a deal in time for next year.
“Any Sydney club is a great option for me with work and stuff here, life after football and living here as well,” Mason said.
“We’ll see what happens. I’m not in a panic station or anything like that.”
