A struggling Newcastle United side will be looking for their first win of the 2015-16 English Premier League season when they host last year’s champions, Chelsea. Join The Roar from 2:30am AEST for live scores.

Coming off four straight losses, Newcastle United sit in second-last place on the table with two points and no wins.

After a 2-1 loss to Watford in their last Premier League fixture, and an embarrassing midweek 1-0 loss to Sheffield Wednesday, which saw the Magpies crash out of the League Cup, manager Steve McClaren will be feeling like he has his job on the line.

Newcastle will be hitting the panic button, as they have only managed to win one of their last 17 Premier League games.

However, the Magpies will have history on their side, as Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has never won a game at St James’ Park. Newcastle will be eager to keep that record.

Despite winning the Premier League last year in emphatic fashion, Chelsea have struggled to get points thus far this season.

However, after a controversial 2-0 win against Arsenal in their last Premier League fixture, and a dominant 4-1 win over Walsall midweek, the Blues will be confident that they can make it two Premier League wins in a row, and get their campaign back on track.

Chelsea will have to pay a price for their controversial win over Arsenal, as star forward Diego Costa has been slapped with a three-match ban for violent conduct.

The last time these two sides faced off was back in January. Oscar and Diego Costa found the net as Chelsea cruised to a 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge.

Even without the likes of Diego Costa up front, Chelsea should be able to get the job done.

Prediction: Newcastle United 1-2 Chelsea
