The Greater Sydney Rams are chasing their second win of the 2015 NRC season when they host the Perth Spirit. Join The Roar from 3pm (AEDT) for live scores.

The Rams finally obtained their first win of the 2015 NRC season last week, after coming so close on so many occasions, topping the North Harbour Rays by two points in a game where the Rams’ poor kicking nearly let them down again.

But they were resilient in defence, holding off the Rays for nine minutes to secure victory.

However it was a case of too little too late for Greater Sydney, having already missed out on a semi-final spot, and they are now playing to avoid the wooden spoon.

For Perth, winning their final game – they have the bye next week – could land them a semi-final spot.

Despite making it all the way to the grand final last season, the Spirit have struggled to get back to their old form.

They are coming off a devastating, three-point loss to the NSW Country Eagles, in a game they should have won.

Even with a win over the Rams, Spirit’s loss to the Eagles last week may have already sealed their fate.

When these two faced off in 2014, the Rams held out against a late rally by the Spirit to take a 10-point win in Adelaide.

Prediction
The Spirit have more to play for, and will be eager to end their season on a high. They should get payback for last year’s loss.

Perth Spirit by 7.

Can the Rams stretch their winning streak to two, or will Perth Spirit end their regular season on a high?
