The Cleveland Cavaliers will look to extend their winning streaking to six on the run when they travel to face the Minnesota Timberwolves. Join The Roar for live scores from 12 midday (AEDT).

The Cavaliers started off a six-game road trip well earlier in the week, with a revenge win over the Washington Wizards that lifted their away record to a positive 9-8.

Their advantage this season has been a dominant record at home, where they have lost only one match, but if they can continue to improve on the road, it’ll go a long way to securing their spot at the top of the Eastern Conference.

They’ve got a few games in hand over their next best opponent at the moment – the Chicago Bulls – but with four more away games after this one, they have to keep winning to ensure they’re not at any risk of a drop down the table.

That should be an easy task against the Minnesota Timberwolves, who are stuck near the bottom of the Western Conference with a 12-24 record. The Timberwolves have won just five matches at home this season from 15 attempts, and are on a four-game losing streak coming into this match. Their most recent result was a four-point loss to the Denver Nuggets.

The Timberwolves are having serious trouble scoring lately, and haven’t managed to crack the triple-figure mark in any of their last nine games. In contrast, the Cavaliers have gone past 120 points in each of their two most recent wins.

Prediction
There’s no getting around it really, the Cavaliers are in hot form, while the Timberwolves are seriously struggling. Cleveland should extend their winning streak – and Minnesota’s losing streak – with ease.

Cavaliers by 25 points.
