The voting period for this year’s Allan Border Medal is between January 16, 2015 and January 7, 2016. And it’s not just the AB Medal which will be awarded; there’s also a host of others like the Belinda Clark award for the best women’s cricketer, Test Player of the Year, ODI Player of the Year, Domestic Player of the Year and the Bradman Young Player of the Year award up for grabs.

Smith, Warner, Nathan Lyon and Josh Hazlewood are some of those who could be in line for the Test Player of the Year award, while the competition for the ODI Cricketer of the Year award is a lot tougher with Mitchell Starc, Glenn Maxwell and Aaron Finch in the mix.

While Meg Lanning is a favourite to scoop the Belinda Clark award, some of those who could surprise include Captain allrounder Ellyse Perry, bowler Rene Farrell and allrounder Jess Jonassen.

Adam Voges’ sterling domestic performances saw him earn a Test cap while Michael Klinger’s performances in the T20 format across the world should have him as a favourite to win the Domestic Player of the Year award.

Legends Wally Grout and Jeff Thomson will also be inducted into the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame.

The previous winners of the Allan Border Medal, which was first awarded in 2000, include Glenn McGrath, Steve Waugh, Matthew Hayden, Adam Gilchrist, Ricky Ponting, Michael Clarke, Brett Lee, Shane Watson, Mitchell Johnson and Steven Smith.

Smith also won the Test Player of the Year and the ODI Player of the Year award in 2015, while Glenn Maxwell was the T20I Cricketer of the Year last year.
