Next month Anderson Silva will make his long-awaited return to the octagon to face Michael Bisping, in London, England. The winner will likely be put at the front of the line for a shot at middleweight champion Luke Rockhold.

There’s a lot of speculation surrounding the middleweight title, but I have no idea why.

Chris Weidman got finished by Rockhold at UFC 194. He was taken down, mounted, had his face beat in, then came out in the fourth and couldn’t defend himself, leading to the stoppage.

The fact that we even talk about a Weidman rematch is ridiculous. He can tweet, say he’s training and talk all he wants about how much he wants that fight, but it’s not going to happen because he doesn’t deserve it.

Sorry Weidman, but you just have to take this loss and get back in line. Like everyone else is doing.

Rockhold will apparently attend the Silva versus Bisping card – surprise, surprise. I doubt the UFC is bringing Rockhold to another country just to sign a few autographs, and take in the sights. The winner of this fight gets the title shot.

The majority are predicting Silva in this fight, and for good reason.

Bisping is going to stand with Silva in this fight, and use his volume striking to get the victory. Horrible idea for the count.

Silva being a counter striker and Bisping being a volume striker spells disaster for Bisping.

Does Bisping have an amazing chin? No.

Does Bising have knockout power? Definitely not.

Does Bisping lose every title eliminator? Every single one of them.

Is Bisping also past his prime? At 36, most certainly.

UFC made this fight because they know Anderson is most likely going to win, setting up a massive pay-per-view card.

This fight is the same set up as Conor McGregor versus Denis Siver – a fight that played into Conor’s strengths to set up a big payday for the UFC.

Anderson will finish Bisping in highlight-reel fashion, then they’ll bring Luke Rockhold into the cage to square the pair off in the middle of the octagon and electrify the MMA world.

If that doesn’t give you chills then you’re not a real MMA fan.

Anderson Silva versus Luke Rockhold. The storyline for this fight is one we will never see again in our lifetimes.

UFC creates spectacles and this is their exact plan – sorry, Weidman.
