It is a case of one team that doesn’t look like winning, and another that doesn’t look like losing when the Washington Wizards host Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors in the nation’s capital. Join The Roar for live scores and coverage of the match from 11:50am (AEDT).

The Wizards, on the back of losing six out of their last eight matches, have dropped all the way to tenth in the Eastern Conference.

Washington’s reliance on John Wall has become too heavy and he isn’t able to do it all.

A win just a few days over the Houston Rockets away from home proved the Wizards can do some serious damage when playing to potential, but that just doesn’t happen often enough.

The Warriors meanwhile, enter this game on the back of seven straight victories. There have been some huge wins in this streak, defeating the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers away, as well as the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Mavericks at home.

The Warriors will continue to push for the number one seed in the west, but with the Spurs snapping at their heels, they can ill afford to stop winning matches.

What is worth noting is the massive difference in point-scoring: the Warriors go along at a healthy 115 points per game, while the Wizards are only averaging 102.2 points per game. That is going to heap pressure on the Warriors’ creative players.

While the teams haven’t yet met this season, last year the Warriors won both matches between the teams, the second by a huge 31 points.

The Warriors have in fact won eight of the last ten meetings over the last five years.

Prediction
The Warriors’ ability to pull a game away in a matter of minutes should do the trick here.

Warriors by 16.
