Greg Inglis was denied the chance to make a try saving tackle against Manly after being taken out by the referee, in what would have been a huge talking point if Souths had lost the game.
It happened on Manly’s second try when Apisai Koroisau busted through a gap for a four pointer. Replays showed that Inglis was in a position to potentially grab Koroisau but referee Gerard Sutton obstructed Inglis.
Eagle-eye viewers who spotted the incident noted that if a Manly player had been the one to obstruct Inglis it would instantly be called no try.
