Iceland will be looking for their first win of the competition when they take on table-leaders Hungary. Join The Roar from 2am AEST for live scores.

Coming off a stunning 1-all draw with Portugal, Iceland will be looking to edge ever closer to a place in the last 16.

Despite going down in the first down, Iceland’s Birkir Bjarnason managed to find an equaliser in the second. From there, Iceland held on at the back and shut down the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo to guarantee a point.

Eight per cent of the Iceland’s 300,000-person population travelled to France and watched their side make history, and they have another chance to do so.

Coming off a surprise result of their own, Hungary find themselves on top of the table heading into gameweek two with an opportunity to progress into the next stage of the competition.

Adam Szalai scored early in the second half, before Zoltan Stieber nailed Austria’s coffin late to give Hungary the 2-nil win.

Despite their impressive performance, Hungary will face Iceland as slight underdogs.

Iceland’s result over Portugal was possible due to an incredible defensive display. Should they perform the same way, they should be able to frustrate a slick Hungary side as well.
