The South Sydney Rabbitohs are looking to cause an upset when they host the Cronulla Sharks at ANZ Stadium. Join us on The Roar from 7pm (AEST) for all the action.

2016 has been a year of frustration for the Rabbitohs, as they are set to miss the finals.

For a team that possesses a serious amount of talent, Souths have been unable to put together good form on a consistent basis, which has seen the pressure begin to mount.

Question marks are surrounding who will be back at Redfern in 2017, sp expect the players to come out hard. And with the majority of the side finally fit and firing, they could play the role of the spoiler for the finals.

While many expected the Sharks to be a strong team this season, few predicted the level they have got to.

After a solid start to the year, Cronulla went on a 15-game winning streak through the middle of the season, proving they are the real deal in 2016.

But since then they have slumped to a draw and two losses in the past three weeks, leading to questions over whether they peaked too early. However, others say this is the slump they needed before September.

Either way, with just three games left before the finals, the Sharks need to recapture some winning form.

At the selection table, the Rabbitohs have brought back Cameron McInnes and Nathan Brown, while Zane Musgrove will miss out due to suspension.

In a big inclusion for the Sharks, Paul Gallen has been named, however they will be without the services of Sosaia Feki, who is injured.

A key battle will be between the fullbacks, with Greg Inglis taking on the electric Ben Barba.

Prediction
It’s hard to completely write off the Rabbitohs after last week, but the Sharks will come out with a point to prove after a poor couple of weeks.

Sharks by 6 points.

Can the Rabbitohs pull off another major upset, or will the Sharks get out of their form slump? Join The Roar from 7pm (AEST) for all the action.
