Roar Guru
The NRL’s night of nights has come and gone and The Roar has the complete lowdown on who won big.
Cooper Cronk and Jason Taumalolo took out the prestigious Dally M Medal as joint players of the year. It was Cronk’s second Dall M Medal following his 2013 triumph, with Taumalolo becoming the first forward to win the award since Cameron Smith claimed the prize in 2006.
Taumalolo also became the first non-hooking forward to win the award since Cronulla’s Gavin Miller in 1989.

Once again the Dally M Team of the year featured a slew of the NRL’s best players. Canberra featured heavily with Joey Leilua claiming centre of the year, Jarrod Croker claiming captain of the year and Ricky Stuart deservedly receiving coach of the year honours.
Jesse Bromwich’s title of ‘world’s best prop’ was confirmed as he picked up prop of the year. Josh Hodgson can consider himself extremely unlucky not to have picked up a single award throughout the night.
