Fight preview

#5 Gegard Mousasi will be looking for revenge when he takes on the man who knocked him out last year, #10 Uriah Hall. Join The Roar from 8am AEDT for a live blog of the fight and round-by-round updates.

Gegard Mousasi’s loss to Uriah Hall last year stung. Mousasi was dominating the fight before getting caught with a spinning kick to the head.

However, since that loss Mousasi has been on fire, and currently rides a three-fight win streak.

First, Mousasi dominated Thales Leites before finishing Thiago Santos at UFC 200 and Vitor Belfort at UFC 204 last month.

Mousasi was keen to get back into the cage as soon as possible, and not only did he get that wish, he got the chance to avenge a devastating loss.

After first making headlines worldwide for a vicious wheel kick knockout on the Ulitmate Fighter, Uriah Hall has failed to meet high expectations.

After bagging the biggest win of his career over Gegard Mousasi, Hall has gone on to lose two-straight. First, against Australian middleweight Robert Whittaker at UFC 193, then to Derek Brunson just two months ago.

Hall has now been given a chance to prove that his huge win over one of the world’s best middleweights was no fluke.

Prediction
No matter where the fights goes, Mousasi will have the advantage. Unless Hall lands something spectacular, expect Mousasi to dominate the fight from start to finish.
