Richmond are expected to name star on-baller Dustin Martin for the Tigers’ crunch match against West Coast.

Martin suffered a fractured cheekbone early in last week’s win over Collingwood, but played out the game.

The Tigers remain confident that Martin will be available on Saturday and he could wear a helmet for the clash between two sides among the eight unbeaten teams after two rounds.

Port Adelaide and Adelaide top the ladder and they have injury concerns ahead of Saturday night’s massive Showdown.

The Power have lost Jack Hombsch to a knee injury and fellow defender Jasper Pittard (hamstring) must pass a fitness test, while midfielder Hamish Hartlett should return from illness.

The Crows are likely to name key forward Josh Jenkins, but he is a doubtful starter after he went to hospital last weekend with damaged ribs.

Winless Collingwood could regain midfielder Levi Greenwood (hip) for Friday night’s match against Sydney at the SCG.

Ruck-forward Mason Cox, a late withdrawal from their loss to the Tigers, could also return, but Jamie Elliott is a doubtful selection as he returns from an ankle injury.

Melbourne must replace star duo Jordan Lewis and Jesse Hogan, who are suspended, for Saturday’s Etihad Stadium match against Geelong.

Both sides have made 2-0 starts to the season and the Cats could welcome back ruckman Zac Smith, while George Horlin-Smith’s thumb injury could mean Sam Menegola returns to the senior team.

Lewis was suspended for striking Patrick Cripps. The incident left the Carlton young gun with a jaw fracture and it is unclear whether the Blues midfielder will play against arch-rivals Essendon on Sunday.
