FIBA World Cup is at no2 most certainly. It is huge in Europe as big as football. In some countries it is the number one sport. Spain, Russia, Greece, Italy are the best leagues but you should add Serbia and Lithuania into that as they produce the most players in the leagues and basketball is the no1 sport in those countries. Serbia produces the most managers also and it is a world powerhouse. More fans go to basketball matches in most countries than football matches.
Spainish league matches are always packed and Spain is world champion in football. Barcelona is the best basketball club and at nearly every match you will see the footballers attending the games.
Handball is another huge sport.

He was a key part of the team, he may have not scored as many goals but he did contribute allot and set up goals. I know this I am just frustrated at the so called football know it alls who already think Australia can get through. Everyone in the World knows that we are the outsiders, it was the ssame in the last WC, I remember watching against japan, I was thinkng wtf is going on we cant even play let alone beat japan, but the last few minutes where amazing and from then on Australia kept mraising the bar and where unlucky not to make the QF. If we get out of the group it would be a bigger achievement then the last WC. Everything is possible its the WC

yes thats true but when he does play he performs. I think hes remaining at Valencia because of the good contract hes got there because in the second half of last season he was loaned out to his former club racing and scored 12/13 goals and was their top scorer. He needs to leave the club asap.

none in the Serbian squad although Ivan Ergic was a starting eleven in the first few games and then he decided to retire from international football. He was raised in Perth and played for the Glory, he scored a few memorable goals in the old NSL. Other then that none.
