The Aussie Test series against the Poms draws nearer and nearer by the second, and the thought of putting 50 on these tea-drinking, Queen-hailing…
Whilst I acknowledge slips’ deficiencies at the scrum, they are nowhere near as bad as you make out. He is capable of holding up the scrum and a bit of help from Mario Ledesma won’t go astray.
Pocock and Houston are both reasonably tall, especially when compared to the likes of Phipps and Frisby.
The fact that you label McMahon as one lacking power baffles me, in fact. And Hooper’s agility and defence will serve him well on the blind.
Feel free to suggest your own team, Rolando.
A monster Wallaby side to take on the Poms
These so called “midgets” who all weigh in at over 100kgs are in fact breakdown specialists who will be able to retain approximately 80-90% possession if all played at once.

I guess if more pack weight was needed in the scrum, we could get Kerevi and/or nabuli to pack down on the flanks.

Sorry that’s ridiculous, you can’t play a seven at 2. Who is going to throw your lineouts?

You speak the truth old man. Ealesy was a wild one wasn’t he, equally adept at trucking the ball up as slotting 3 from the sideline.

Valid point, Foley has managed to ruin semi successful eras at both the Waratahs and Force now

The only thing that will be winding up will be the ball in Wallabies hands with all the pilfers that will be committed by this mongrel bloody pack of piggies.

That would’ve been great hey, say G’day next time.

I think 2 of them, Hooper and Pocock, were a very big problem for opposition at the world cup. Selecting a few more will increase there dominance and ensure that pilfers are dropping like Sunwolves defenders.

Would you like to elaborate? I don’t see the problem.

I’m sorry mate but Launchbury and Lawes are both second rowers and even if they have played in the back row at some stage it might have been at six. Neither are chunky, hard nosed, on the ball sevens that us skippies seem to have breeding like rabbits over here.

I have selected 5 loose forwards to counteract what you are saying. Hodgson, Reid and Butler can be called into the front row if Cheika wishes to embrace this idea of breakdown dominance; a possession monopoly.

Ok so who would you be selecting at 10 then bucko?

Foley won’t even need to pick the right man. No matter who he passes to any midfielder or outside back in this team will be crashing past at least the gain line.

Sorry but that’s a ludicrous selection. I don’t see the point in playing them out of position like that.

Yeah mate its the Wallabies backline, not Fijian. These players all play for Aussie super rugby teams apart from Naiyaravoro.

Yeah mate I agree with what you’re saying, however I have houston and pocock, not skelton and pocock, at 4 and 5.

For the Springboks, and probably for the rest of the Rugby Championship, I would personally like to see something a bit like this:
1.Sio
2.Moore
3.Kepu
4.Coleman
5.Douglas
6.Fardy
7.Pocock
8.Timani
9.Genia
10.Cooper
11.Speight
12.Kerevi
13.Folau
14.Morahan
15.Haylett Petty
16.Polotau Nau
17.Slipper
18.Allaatoa
19.Mumm
20.McMahon
21.Phipps
22.Godwin
23.Hodge
A well-selected and well-coached Wallabies side will beat the Springboks
