I go into a Scottish rugby site and most of the comments are supportive because we know we are talking about players who we admire most of the time.

Being a Scot I’m ashamed to say that Adamson has to be the most incompetent ref in international rugby. Leaves Murphy standing bit at least Adamson hasn’t reffed I these northern internationals, or hopefully ever again.

I’m a Scot and watched the Scotland v Australia match. Quite enjoyed it because the standard was about the same as the club rugby I played in Scotland back in the 60s and 70s and (dare I say it) the 80s. That is to say it wasn’t great rugby was it.
Stopped watching at half time even although we (Scotland) were winning.
Shame with the comments because up until now there isn’t one female sounding name (unless it’s Andy) commenting.
I’m sure I’ve seen a couple of lassies commenting previously so why not in your major game?

Godsakes. Every ruddy time; every ruddy time it’s the same. Australia, Orstrilia, astralia, etc. etc. etc.
This is a whinge against channel 7 and other television channels.
I appreciate that this is an Australian site but am I the only one who comes from another country and absolutely detests the channel 7 idea of only showing australians in these winter Olympics? Admittedly they’re showing the wonderful ice hockey but that’s only because Oz isn’t in it.
The summer Olympics coverage from Channel 7 was absolutely brilliant and we could watch nearly every sport; even when there wasn’t an Australian competing!
I absolutely love Curling. Been in Oz for more than 40 years and have rarely seen it. This time… yeah… curling.!! But…. Aaargh. All I’ve really seen on channel 7 is Australia v whomsoever, ad infinitum. Yes we dun good and nearly beat GB and China but wouldn’t it be brilliant if channel ruddy 7 would show GB playing China or Denmark playing Switzerland, etc. Doesn’t happen and personally I’m utterly sick of the parochialism shown by channel 7 … and the other channels incidentally. Oz are right at the bottom of the league so why can’t we see the best playing each other? Not sure if there’s a final but guaranteed it won’t be shown.
Dear Australian media: I was in a British site about the winter Olympics and they mentioned all sorts of other country’s brilliant athletes and showed us what they do. Can anyone show me an unbiased Australian network which shows us all the fantastic athletes from other countries? Nope? I knew it; just keep showing us nobody else but Australians who were last.
PS I am in absolute awe of any athlete who managed to get to the Olympics and it doesn’t matter which country they’re from. I appreciate that we need to show how Australians did in each sport as that’s where we live. But please please please, stop showing Australians as if they were the winners when they were towards the bottom.

Two of my grandchildren go to Churchie in Brisbane. One plays AFL for Churchie, the other plays football for Easts. To my disgust neither play rugby, so, yes, private schools play AFL.

Looking forward to watching Watson v Hooper, Scottish front row, van der Werwe and Finn Russell having a top game although it would have been brilliant to see him and Quade against each other which could have been a classic.
Also, I really don’t see Australia winning any of their matches which would be a shame.

To my, almost certain, knowledge, Colin Meads was sent off only once in his rugby career. It was at Murrayfield in 1967. It was massive news at the time. How do I know? I wis there. Still dispute about whether he should have been sent off.

I used to quite like Kyrgios when everyone and his dog was against him.
Over the last couple of years I’ve discovered that he’s just a self absorbed, whinging bad mannered git who, like Tomic, always talked themselves up but never actually made it.
His latest rant against Boris Becker is typical of this pointless man. He’s really not fit to lick Becker’s boots is he because, apart from one Wimbledon final, has never really done anything but say that he’s the best, or I have a sore big toe, or blah blah blah.
A reasonable sportsman would never complain about all the bad luck and poor me’s that he has complained about over the years.
Please Kyrgios, please go and play basketball or any other sports where you can complain bitterly that you were treated badly by tennis. You weren’t, you just big noted yourself and then weren’t able to do the job you were initially so brilliant at.
Please mate…. take your money and just go and stop whinging because I feel sure that the wonderful Andy Murray would be thinking that the guy just hasn’t grown up.
