the only reason Manchester City renamed their stadium to Etihad Stadium, was so they generated enough revenue to justify their elaborate spending on players under FIFA’s incoming fair play rules. With the players at Newcastle’s disposal, i do see them finishing in the top 8, if they can keep building on what they have then a champions league spot could possibly be within their reach sooner or later. Yes, its fair to assume that if its a dour game that some people may not come back (only a small few though i would imagine) but so far this year there has been some fantastic football played and it will only get better as the season goes on

The only reason Carney played was because Chipperfield retired and we didnt have a proper LB back-up. I do believe he has credit as a squad player, he is quite good when he goes forward. But if we are to make an impact in the world, he should not be starting in our back four

The clubs should definately take a hard stance on these sort of things. Not only does it look bad for the player, but also the club involved and the sport itself. A perfect example was in the Heart v Jets game. Williams was clearly fouled by kennedy, but he didnt mope around until he got the penalty, he just got up and played on

I grew up in country victorian and you do get some characters at the pub. I did change footy to AFL however because when I say football i mean the world game
