read up mate. there are just as many aussies and other foreign nationals blowing these “important insignificant pieces of plastic crap”.
it’s totally gone viral, vuvuzela is a celeb.

World Cup is for all, not just South Africans

“lets hope they take their horns back to the townships with them.”
?
cause all saffers live in townships, of course.

World Cup is for all, not just South Africans

OK big Kev. As I said below – did you know that the people who are blowing them the loudest and in the most inappropriate manner are the foreigners? we use them at local matches as a cheering instrument – and not loudly constantly and especially towards the end of a tight match. it’s a novelty to most overseas people so all they want to to do is paaarp aaarp praaaarp. dare, I say it, the white elitist who have never been to a south african soccer game are also quite new to the paaarping hence all the noise. they’ve been around at our local matches here since the 90s btw.

tell the foreigners to stop being so amused by an insignificant piece of plastic. and then shout at the locals for just doing what we have done for years. PAAAAAAAAAAAARP!

World Cup is for all, not just South Africans

amen, preach it! and frankly saying things like “they’ve ruined it with the vuvuzelas” and “I won’t support the WC until the vuvuzela is banned” please grow up and go whine about something else.

Heh. You’re right. Got confused between the Chiefs and the Highlanders.

An open letter from a South African

What a ridiculous comment.

World Cup is for all, not just South Africans

Well, if you knew what the majority of South Africans think about Danny Jordaan you wouldn’t take this as gospel.
*sigh*

The problem is that in our local derby games the vuvu is used to cheer on the team towards the end of the match and not constantly all the time. The problem is that there are a lot of foreigners oooh zlooooooook ja zit is a zhiny pieze of ze plaztiek let ma make noize with it jzaaaaaaaaa!! praaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarpp and erm…dare I say it, white people who have never gone to a soccer game in their life have gotten hold of these things and they praaap praaap praap for everything. The novelty will wear off when the headaches get too much.

Vuvuz are great and part of our soccer culture but they are not being used in the right way.

Ban vuvuzelas? Get over it!

Nice one 🙂
I didn’t know that there were people taking it badly? I am actually busy writing a piece praising the Aussie supporters for coming out to SA en masse to support their side and sticking with them no matter what. Us Saffers can learn a lot from you guys. Bravo one a well-written piece.

An important plea to all Socceroos fans
