Born Reece Jordan Hooker, I've always been a sports tragic. Whether it was wandering the pits of HRT as a toddler or being dragged from the television kicking and screaming at a Swans game, the thirst for competition has going for a solid sixteen years now.
My first true love is AFL, but I've developed a relationship on the side with the beautiful game of basketball, which is the primary focus of my writing. I am currently a Year 11 student at Melbourne High School.
I am an NBA writer for the FanSided network, covering the latest happenings the league for the FanSided National site and Saving the Skyhook.

Last season, the New York Giants once again took the NFL by surprise en route to a surprising playoff tilt that culminated in a Superbowl victory over Brady and the Patriots. The 34 year old veteran of twelve seasons hasn’t seen court action since April 25, where he scored an efficient four points and five boards in […]
James Harden and Jeremy Lin are still learning their way around the streets of Houston, but they’ve wasted no time finding early season form in the opening week of NBA action. Linsanity met Beardsanity on October 27th when the Oklahoma City Thunder shipped Harden to the Rockets for Kevin Martin, rookie Jeremy Lamb and draft […]
Jeremy Lin, who set the NBA alight in his 25 starts last season, has signed with the Houston Rockets on the three-year deal worth $21.5 million. Lin was a restricted free agent this off-season, meaning New York had the opportunity to match Houston’s initial offer, but decided to let their enigmatic point guard walk instead. […]
Every morning while I eat breakfast, I read the rumours report on a website called HoopsHype. Sure, it’s really just a gossip rag for the sports fan, but it can be nice hearing about every little transaction going on in the league. But as late, I’ve been compelled to leave the reading alone for a […]
