Agreed Dan experience will be great for all the young players. I dont see Australia winning a test but if they do it wil be a great effort. The Australian spinners are too far inferior.
Souds like you are a big cricket fan
Why Australia is a rank outsider in India
I agree Khawaja should be given 4 tests to see how he goes. Unfortunately it seems like teh selectors are elaning to Wade at 6 and a bit part all-rounder.
Why Australia is a rank outsider in India
True Andymack. Attacking play like Pieterson eemployed would be a good tactic to relaease the pressure. Interesting to see how Warner plays if they open with spinners.
Why Australia is a rank outsider in India
I think that would be a big mistake if they pick Maxwell or Smith. Should go with 6 specialist batsman and 2 specialist spinners.
Why Australia is a rank outsider in India
Good call Vicboy. Clarke is defintely a key and in better form than Sehwag although his injuries are a worry.
Why Australia is a rank outsider in India
Should Tony Parker be in the discussion for MVP? The Spurs are playing great basketball at times without Duncan and Ginobli and this is largely due to Parker.
NBA’s (hypothetical) mid-season awards
Wariness has lost it. His fielding bowling and captaincy have all been sub par and his mind is elsewhere. The Stars best game was vs the strikers when he was in the Uk.
Warne-ing signs
Spot on article David I agree with every word. With Watson and Clarke out I believe Hussey should be captaining. He is still superfit and the best one day player in the side. The selectors have lost it it was a perfect opportunity to blood some youngsters to learn from the master. I think it is a disgrace but one thing is for sure he will make a truckload for WA for the rest of the season.
Shabby treatment for Mike Hussey
Shocking from the Sixers. They have lost numerous games from seemingly unloseable positions. Last night was a choke. With the talent they have they should be a top 2 side. The CEO has gone and the coach will be next, Brett Maher at the helm next year for a Phil Smyth like renaissaance.
NZ Breakers down Sixers 71-66 in NBL
Great article. I agree with all of it. Should Johnson play I Think the Porteas will be happy as whilst he can take wickets he tends to leak runs and release pressure. I agree that Bird and Cutting should be ahead of him. Cutting offers some hard hitting in the lower order as well as wicket taking. If he plays it will be an astionishing selection.
Johnson's selection a backward step
I backed Green Moon in the Cox Plate but couldnt have him again. In retrospect as Dominc Beirne said he wasnt ridden properly in that race and had been set soley for the Melbourne cup and he is lengths better at Flemington.
Easy in Hindsight though.
Melbourne Cup 2012: Where did it go wrong for the experts?
Aussies are now the team to beat. The only query is if Watson fails the middle order have had no batting time and may be underdone.
Watson stars again as Australia top South Africa
Cant believe Hussey is not in the team. Hevis a match winner and White has done nothing in the last 2 years.
Bailey tires of Hussey selection debate
Great article. Qld are favs again with their great bowling attack and coach.
Sth Australias bowlers did not have totals to defend last year. Interesting to see if Hughes can fix that and Botha can add a harder edge.
I expect some improvement from them.
Sheffield Shield preview part one
David Hussey being dropped is a disgrace. Cameron White is a passenger. Warner and Mike Hussey will have to dominate the tournament for us to go deep.
How will Australia fare in World T20?
Fair Call Matt. I guess i regarded Symonds as a batsman but his Meds and offies were very useful.
Glen Maxwell: Australia's rising star
I agree Mills had a great tournament. Will he get much court time behind Parker Ginobli Green etc. He may need to move to another team.
Ingles will be looked at closely also. I was disappointed Crawfor and Gibson saw 0 minutes vs the USA especially since the staters were tiring badly.
Patty Mills ceiling is higher than expected
Spot on it starts at the top. Primus was set up to fail. The board should be sacked, They now need a hard leader who can get a team he wants around him, Mathouse and Roos are the obvious ones but as I doubt they would go near this mess Rocket Rodney Eade could be the man.
Primus the fall guy for a Powerless board
Peter Crawford deserves some minutes. He can shoot the ball and score which is what we need.

Great comments Bayman. Sounds like you are seriously in the know when it comes to Sa cricket.
What's wrong with the Redbacks?
Great work BG. If more people had yoru passion SA cricket would not be in such a bad state.
What's wrong with the Redbacks?
He didnt do himself any favours early in his career insulting a linesman at the US Open vs James Blake and also insulting a few opponents on the way. However he was very young and matured over the years. Following the clean cut Pat Rafter probably didnt help him either. He has been a great servant to Aussie tennins and could be a future Davis Cup captain.
Why Hewitt deserves more respect
I played cricket with Lou at Prospect in Adelaide. This is quite hard to believe.
