a lot of off the ball stuff from Samoa

Rugby World Cup live scores, blog: Springboks vs Samoa

Suddenly the shoe is on the other foot and we have a pathetic rant from the Aussies.

But personally I think this is great for everyone but NZ, this lob sided and bias officiating will only give NZ false sense of confidence. They will not win next year’s world cup. They have not overnight become this good.

Mccaw’s constant cheating and disregard for the laws will come back to haunt them. It will be stopped eventually. If the officials do no want to stop it, I am sure the Boks can come up with their own way getting the job done. I am sure the “thuggery” might start leaving the game if the professional and cynical cheating is addressed, because essentially it comes out of player frustration. Even Bakkies Botha’s headbutt came from frustration. He was held back by a scrumhalf using tradional All Black cynical foul play. It would never have happened if the “mighty” All Blacks were not cheating.

After his little performance trying to get Danie Rossouw sent off for nothing was actually disgusting. Has he been taking acting lessons?

I am betting Mccaw will be the first rugby player to reinvent the football dive for rugby.

Richie “Ronaldo” Mccaw, rugbys finest cheat.

Cobus Wessels given yellow card for Mitchell mistake

Bribe a chef in their hotel. Food poisening!

How to beat the Springboks

What a load of rubbish. The game is stronger than ever. Next time you get a feeling, try use a toilet.

This is the worst piece I have read on the roar to date.

Why modern rugby is in a serious state of decline

This woman is a genius.

An open letter from a South African

Nice piece lefty.

Lets see how well the “Cooper train” goes after he has played our Springboks and roughed up a little. I am still not convinced he has the temperament for internaional rugby.

Wallabies backline is simply electric

I think the Stormers defence could suffocate the Bulls and their style of rugby. Certain styles of play are better suited to beating certain teams. The Reds and Blues used pace and running to wear the Bulls down. The Stormers backline will find holes as all other teams have in the Bulls defence. The question is can the Bulls break down the Stormers. I think think the pressure is on the Bulls this week.

A Super tip? The Bulls to beat the Stormers in a canter

The reds will not win a game for the next 2 weeks 😉

Super 14 Preview Panel round

Great to see skill putting it over power again. De Jong, Aplon and Joe Petersen are making a statement that skill and speed can still win games. Makes for much better viewing.

Super 14 Preview Panel round

Bekker seems to be taking lock play to another level.

Super 14 Preview Panel round

Bulls, Crusaders and Stormers are a given. This is not really even a debate. Bulls are the form side. Stormers through the years have not struggled to win on the road, its home that was their problem and that seems to have been fixed. Crusaders and Stormers both control games to well to be posed real threats from most other sides. Bulls are too powerful.

There is one spot open for an Aus team, but it will probably go to the Chiefs. The have the Highlanders , Bulls, Stormers, Cheetahs, Hurricanes, Warratahs and Blues. Highlanders will give them 5 points. They may have narrow losses to the Bulls and Stormers(2 points – 6 points), Cheetahs they could get maximum. Hurricanes seem to have problems in their camp (4 points). Warratahs they will beat. Warraths are overated, their game against the Force was possibly the worst rugby I have watched for some time. They will fall away. People are basing their form now on a game against the Lions. Will come down to the Blues game but i think they will do it.

Bulls, Stormers/Crusaders (not sure on the home semi) and Chiefs.

Sorry Aus, nothing mate!

Why not stage a best of hemisphere's match?

I have no problem with the loss to the French on Saturday, I predicted the loss to Leicester and to France. To expect to win all the time is crazy. What we should have done is sent a younger side and rested some more of the main players. It would have been a great way to give some youngsters a chance to play big tests and gain some precious experience against quality oppostion.

It should be treated as a chance to build a squad with greater depth going into the next World Cup. What is a couple of losses after all that has been achieved this year?

Unfortunately the winning record today is more important than success in the future. This attitude applies to the all three of the Trinations sides.

The real France guillotines the Springboks

The Wallabies will get what they deserve. A wooden spoon. Mccaw will go back to form. Nonu and Toeava will dominate the midfield. And Dam Carter will kick like, well Dan Carter. NZ by 7-10 points.

Who will win in Wellington?

OJ, say what you want. The opening penalties were rubbish. If it were the other way around, you would be up in arms. The fact that we still won should not hide the fact that the decisions made by Owens were terribly one sided.

Maybe something should be done about it or wait till it goes against your side that badly. Then shout about it. I don’t really care.

Covering a bad loss, by justifying below par refereeing, will help no side and certainly not the game in the long run.

The Springboks deserve their Tri-Nations triumph

Then you subtract Nigel Owens points from the NZ total and …….

The Springboks deserve their Tri-Nations triumph

“The AB’s always came to play the style of game they, frankly, brutally imposed on the boks in that last 20 minutes. ”

Nigel Owens came with a style of game that also frankly and brutally imposed itself on the Boks. He handed the all blacks 9 free points. Boks played 16 men for most of the game and still won.

All Blacks were never in it!

The Springboks deserve their Tri-Nations triumph

I agree with you 100%, Vickerman is a great player. It will be handy having a player who speaks Afrikaans when playing the Boks.

The pressure is mounting on these poor South Africans. They had to win the Ashes for England and now Dan Vickerman might be captain of the Wallabies.

I would love to read the banter on here should Vickerman actually get the job.

On this Rocky road, Elsom should be captain

Please tell me you are stoned.

On this Rocky road, Elsom should be captain

Sluggy your right, he does not. He hardly plays for his province here.

Robbie, it's time to be bold with your selections

Horwill and Mumm vs Matfield and Botha. Why don’t you just asked Moore to pass the ball straight to Du Preez? You can save some time.
They will not be able to stand up at the breakdown. They will get dominated and put the entire pack on the backfoot.

At the risk of sounding like a typical South African, Australia needs an “enforcer” . Although all the fans supporting a side playing against Botha hate him. I don’t think there is a rugby fan that does not appreciate what he brings to a side.

Robbie, it's time to be bold with your selections

As it stands:

NZ 9
AUS 2
SA 2

SARU, Springboks were lucky to avoid real justice

It was released this morning here in South Africa that the players and SARU would not be picking up the tab from the IRB. The South African Rugby Legends Association will be paying it for them. A string of unfortunate events that started with the diabolicle citing of Bakkies Botha. The decision and the IRB were made a complete joke when the injured player, Adam Jones, said that Bakkies Botha had done nothing wrong or illegal when he sustained the dislocated shoulder. Yet the IRB went ahead with the suspension.

I think that the IRB are being treated like they should be. As a joke. Let’s hope the IRB takes these string of events as a sign to do some house cleaning. Thing’s are clearly not working.
