Misremembering a few small details could be attributed to a “memory issue”, but you can’t use that excuse when you’ve made something up that never took place.

Sergeant power ought to have the book thrown at him, perhaps other police officers who were present also. We deserve better from those in law enforcement.

'A traumatic experience': Latrell relieved after brawling charges with Wighton thrown out of court

While neither set the world on fire offensively, defensively Cleary seemed more composed. Pearce’s errors at pivotal moments are still burned in my memory after all these years. To be fair though Pearce was up against a way better team.

31 is way too young. Condolences to his family and friends, RIP Kyle.

Surely Basil I is a better rags to riches story? The guy went from enslaved peasant to emperor, Ghengis was the son of a chief.

Who had the bigger impact on Origin - Kenny or Lewis?

Have to agree on JAC, ever since his debut he’s consistently been putting in 7.5-8/10 performances.

I’m guessing Freddy is trying to negate the assumed selection of Corey Oates with an aerial threat of his own.

Daniel Tupou's message to dumped Josh Addo-Carr is pure class

As long as Bellamy is coach I believe they will contend for the title. They really remind of me Manchester United with SAF as coach. Sure they may not win year on year but will always be one of the teams to beat.

Clock's ticking. Why the Melbourne Storm only has one year to win another premiership

Perhaps Joe has the mental capacity to focus on multiple concerns at once?

I’m a chooks fan living in Sydney and also am not keen on this conference idea at all. It’s unfair on out of Sydney teams and a kick in the teeth for fans of Sydney teams who live interstate.

Current system isn’t perfect but better than this rubbish proposal.

My club's not from Sydney: Sell me on NRL conferences

Respectfully disagree with you Adam.

In Tim’s most recent article on Cameron Smith the most negative word he used to describe him that I was able to find was ‘arrogant’.

Tommy Raudonikis was a legend and larrikin... and a thug

Hi Tim,

I like most of the article but like others the word ‘thug’ just doesn’t seem fitting in my opinion. To me he was simply a product of his environment, a small bloke for a league player who, and I’m just speculating here, felt the need to use his fists to show he won’t put up with being bullied. By reports he would use violence to put his opposition off their game but let’s not pretend this no longer happens nowadays, albeit via different avenues. Me personally I’d prefer to cop a couple on the chin whilst being able to fight back than have my knee twisted or arm put in a chicken wing as I’m defenceless in a tackle.

Would you describe Cameron Smith as a thug and why/why not? A quick YouTube search and found a few videos of him lashing out physically and using dirty tactics. Other than the fact Tommy used his fists what’s the difference?

Then we’ve got players like Lodge, Walker, Fergo etc who have done despicable things off the field. If Tommy is a thug what does that make them? Scum of the earth? Utter degenerates? Which then begs the question why would the NRL allow such atrocious excuses for human beings to take part within their organisation and what does that make you and I for supporting said organisation? I know I’ve gone off on a tangent here but I think if we are prepared to label someone as a thug we best be prepared to be scrutinised and judged ourselves.

Couldn’t agree more with Yow Yeh. Unbelievable finisher and had great awareness as well.

Forgotten Origin players: Queensland Maroons

The NRL’s sleeves are endlessly deep.

Why are Penrith hosting Souths at the Bunnies' home?

Just like the Burgess allegations being made public when they were, this is yet another ploy to derail the Rabbitohs premiership campaign.

Clearly the NRL is doing all they can to ensure Penrith have extra motivation to win by giving home ground advantage to Souths, thus giving the advantage to Penrith.

Shameful.

As always, mixed feelings when Juventus loses a champions league match. Barcelona vs Bayern ought to be a cracker.

Good read peeeko.

Personally I’d swap Jack Bird out for Tautau Moga.

A team of the NRL's most disappointing players

Criticising Trump automatically makes someone a CCP supporter? The fact you can’t rationalise that is possible to dislike both (I’m but
one of millions who feel this way in this country alone) makes you the sheep.

Which superpower is in faster decline: America or Queensland rugby league?

At least you don’t have to feel embarrassed by the fact he/she supports the same team as you.

I seriously don’t understand why all the new members that are Chooks fans keep coming across as so and so’s. It’s getting embarrassing.

Raiders out for grand final revenge against Roosters

Speaking as an amputee myself if I heard a player say that I really wouldn’t appreciate it. It’s not even about me, I’m comfortable being who I am and am
usually in shorts.

For better or worse, not all disabled people are like that. Some may still be extremely insecure about their disability and prefer to stay home due to constant staring by the public or being treated differently.

There may be a kid at the park whose parents have had a great struggle just to convince them to leave the house that day and for that kid to who’s been through hell hearing a comment like that could crush whatever remaining confidence they have left.

Some light on Addin Fonua-Blake's words

While we stand on the same side on this issue I don’t think the language your using does anybody any favours.

There was a minority in Britain who believed after WWII that German people ought to be wiped out of existence due to the 40 years preceding that point. Luckily that didn’t happen because as humans we must believe that we can change for the better.

The importance of the Indigenous All Stars

I disagree. I won’t sing along to an anthem if it doesn’t line up with my beliefs, just as I wouldn’t sing along if a far left government was voted in and changed the lyrics to something insinuating I should feel guilty for living in Australia as a non-indigenous person.

The importance of the Indigenous All Stars

Hopefully you take the time to attempt to understand why indigenous players feel the way they do about the national anthem and then reconsider your stance.

The importance of the Indigenous All Stars

It’s a bloody song. Go get outraged about something worthwhile.

Your words in one of your previous posts.

Isn’t that also being dismissive of the views of another section of the community?

National anthem won't be played at NRL All Stars match

Don’t blame them. As someone of Italian background who grew up in Milan I can say if we were still under Austrian rule I wouldn’t have sung their anthem either.
Not the same situation I know, but the Aborigines aren’t telling us whites we need to get out nor that they want independence. They just want to be recognised in the anthem. To me that isn’t too much to ask.

National anthem won't be played at NRL All Stars match

Wow a lot of barbs there. Did he underestimate the NFL and overestimate himself? He probably did. He took a big risk and it didn’t pay off, he ought to be commended rather than derided.

As a league fan I’m stoked he’s back.

Commiserations Raiders fans, your team played with so much intensity and heart, you should be very proud of them. With a new halfback on the way this team could get even better, hope to see them break the drought soon some of their players really deserve a premiership.

The feeling this year actually sucks compared to last year when I almost got emotional. I’d be livid if I was a Raiders fan.

Touching on the trainer incident; why can’t the play be restarted? Seems like the fairest thing to do.
