The Central Coast Mariners have finally parted ways with Liam Reddy nearly two months after the A-League club told the veteran goalkeeper he was no longer wanted.

The Mariners announced on Thursday morning that Reddy’s contract has been terminated my mutual consent, effective immediately.

It leaves the 34-year-old, who was rumoured to be on his way to the Western Sydney Wanderers, free to join another club, while Central Coast is poised to sign former Bentleigh Greens gloveman Alastair Bray as his replacement

“I am extremely thankful to the Mariners fans for the support they have given me over the past two seasons,” said Reddy in a statement released through Professional Footballers Australia.

“The fans deserve success and I hope they have it in the coming years.

“I would like to thank the PFA for the support they have given me over the past few weeks and I now look forward to getting back to playing and being at my best on the pitch.”
