Sportswriters Brett McKay and Ryan O’Connell are shaking off their World Cup hangovers in Episode 68 of the Cheap Seats podcast.

The Cricket World Cup is finally over, with Australia’s thumping win over New Zealand in the Final on Sunday. The boys wrap it all up, including where it was won and lost, Michael Clarke’s well-timed retirement from ODIs, send-offs, and whether anyone will be joining Pup.

Meanwhile, in Super Rugby, the Waratahs won, we put the mockers on the Crusaders, and the New Zealand conference is looking ominously strong.

In the NRL, the Roosters were rocked by injury, the first Origin discussion is had, and the state of refereeing is sliced and diced.

The AFL starts this week, but positive drug tests aren’t exactly what they had in mind.

Another big #AskTheCheapSeats includes questions on Super Rugby play and the state of the Western Force, Shane Warne’s “thirsty” work with the mic after the World Cup final, and the MCG size debate.

Don’t forget, you can still join the Cheap Seats Tipping League. Beating these two isn’t difficult, and the AFL leg starts this Thursday.
