The broadcast of Game 1 will begin at 7:30pm (AEST), before the action gets underway at around 8:00pm. Although scheduled to begin on the hour mark, the actual start-time for Game 1 is expected to fall closer to 8:15pm (AEST) due to the build-up fo the game.

With such high interest in the State of Origin series, Channel 9 has the broadcast rights tightly locked up, meaning there is no pay-TV simulcast options via Fox Sports or the Foxtel GO or Foxtel Play apps.

The only way to legally stream the game across your devices is via the NRL’s official Digital Pass app. This is a subscription based service that will set you back $2.99 per week, or $89.99 for the season. You can sign up for a one-week free trial however, which will enable you to watch this game alone.
