There was no revenge to be had for the Hurricanes on Saturday night as they went down once again to their grand final opponents and reigning Super Rugby champs the Highlanders.
It was a tight finish with the Highlanders dominating the last 20 minutes of the match and taking the lead at the 77-minute mark thanks to a penalty goal from Hayden Parker.
The Highlanders then held on to record a 17-16 victory, resigning the Hurricanes to a 0-2 start to the 2016 Super Rugby season.
