Greg Inglis would welcome a return to the NRL for Jarryd Hayne.

In the process Hayne has opened the door on a possible return to the NRL in 2017.

It is something South Sydney captain Inglis wants to witness.
“There is no doubt he is a great talent, our game is about showcasing great talent, so in the future I would like to see him back in the NRL,” Inglis said at Souths training at Coogee Oval on Monday.
“But at the moment he has made his choice about going to rugby union and I wish him all the best of luck.”
Does Inglis think it will happen?
“He obviously wants to go and play in the Olympics but if we (rugby league) can fit him on the books, sure,” Inglis said.
Hayne left the NRL at the end of the 2014 season to join the San Francisco 49ers.
His manager Wayne Beavis indicated on Monday morning a return to the NRL was a possibility.
“We haven’t had a chance to talk about plan B but I’m sure there will be no lack of opportunities for him should he come back to Australia and want to play rugby league again or rugby union,” Beavis told Triple M.
“Every club would love to have him. But it’s never been a plan B because our first option was to succeed in the NFL.”
