Richmond came off the bye round with a slow start against the Lions but when they found their feet they took control, eventually running out the 42-point winners.

Dustin Martin and Jack Riewoldt proved to be too much to handle for the Lions with Martin racking up 35 possessions and Riewoldt kicking 4.3 for the game.
For Brisbane Tom Rockliff lead the disposals however they were not as effective as he would like, while down forward Eric Hipwood stood tall when he had his chances.
Brisbane kicked the first two goals of the game and looked the better side in the early to mid first quarter, but the game turned and Richmond took over kicking the final 5 goals of the first quarter.
Brisbane again started the second quarter well getting the first scoring shot but they would only get one other for the quarter.
Richmond continued applying the pressure and scoring at will, taking a 38-point lead lead into the second half.
A nice goal from Tyrone Vickery late in the second was a good highlight for the Tigers. Mitch Robinson left the ground and did not take any more part with a concussion.
The third quarter showed some more fight for the Lions but some early goals from the Tigers stopped any sort of momentum the Lions tried to build.
Towards the later stages of the quarter the Tigers tried to get a little bit clever and cost themselves two goals, one of which was sent down the other end and ended in a Brisbane goal.
The fourth was by far the best quarter for Brisbane outscoring the Tigers however they were again their own worst enemies with poor ball usage and tackling skills allowing the Tigers to keep the lead at a range that was unreachable for the Lions.
It was far from a pretty game and it is probably not one that either coach would be happy with.
Richmond have now won 5 of their last 6 while Brisbane have lost their last ten. Richmond now sit equal nine, while Brisbane stay at 17th on the ladder.
