The AFL’s most prestigious award for the best and fairest will be presented tonight and if you believe the bookmakers it will be a no contest.

Patrick Dangerfield is hovering around the $1.18 mark to win the gong, but as we’ve seen in the past upsets can and do happen on Brownlow Medal night. You can never be sure just who the umpires will give votes to in a season.

In saying that, Dangerfield will be extremely had to beat and there’s a reason why he’s such a short-priced favourite.

To put it in context, after Dangerfield the next shortest price to win is Richmond’s Dustin Martin at $15, followed by Luke Parker ($18), Marcus Bontempelli ($21) and Joel Selwood and Daniel Hannebery (both $26).

Among the real roughies are Josh P.Kennedy ($51) and Lachie Neale ($81).
