Perth will be looking to bounce back from their torrid performance last weekend after getting demolished 5-2 away to Wellington.

After having the worst defence in the league last season things look like they haven’t been fixed up at the back having conceded 12 goals in six games so far.

For the fourth week in a row Victory ground out a draw, against Brisbane in what was a very dour affair. Victory have only been in front for two per cent of gametime out of the first seven matches so far.

Kenny Lowe will be sweating on the fitness of star midfielder Diego Castro as he left training on early Friday with a calf complaint. Already out for lengthy stint on the sidelines is Adam Taggart after tearing his hamstring. So a lot could rest on the shoulders of Andy Keogh this week.

In what has been Melbourne Victory’s worst start to a season in a long time this just keep getting worse. Mitch Austin was ruled out for the season with a tear in his ACL.

Kevin Muscat will be thankful that the world cup qualifiers are over as he will welcome back Milligan, Troisi and Barbarouses which will help bolster the attack.

Prediction
Perth have a fantastic record at home against Victory winning their last four matches but I expect that trend to finally be bucked on Sunday evening.

Perth with all their fragilities at the back plus so many injuries its hard to see them winning. I expect Victory to finally get the attack to click and win this won quite comprehensively.

Victory 3-1
