The 2013/14 A-League season featured some exciting talent throughout the competition. Let's look at the top 10 performers. 10. Shinji Ono - Western Sydney…
After a glittering 20-year career, you have to ask whether Emile Heskey deserves all the crap he gets. If you watch his latest games…
as a Newcastle fan, we are NOT going to go purely because we have so many fans. we haven’t made the finals in 4.5 years and we are still getting 12-13k each game
Newcastle Jetting towards oblivion
tinks says epl clubs are interested, but to be honesat,as a Newcastle fan,i don’t care,we cant change that,so I just hope the players just foucs and play well
Jets happy to fly under the radar
We don’t need big name marquee signings anymore, the game is past that. to be honest, most fail on the field. we are getting consistent crowds and clubs are bocming smarter. instead of signing a 35 year old who played for Chelsea when he was 22 we are now siogning 28 year olds who have been proving themselves in Austria etc. look at the difference, who would you prefer right now. a brocih, carryusca or berisha. or a Heskey, duff and gallas.its easy for me
Villa's in town, but where have all the marquees gone?
I agree josh,i am very excited for castelens debut,i think he will be excellent, as well as saba. I don’t know about adeleke but it will be interesting to see how it works out.
How long until Popovic outgrows Western Sydney?
great article, but I almost stopped reading after the second line. how at all is topor-stanley ageing?
Socceroos boss casts wide selection net
can’t wait for the season. its going to be tough but if anyone can do it stubbins can. lets be underdogs just like we were in 2008 when we won the grand final
A-League's Jets lack chemistry: says Stubbins
Wilkshire plays for feyenoord but its the same thing. a big team in a big league and he is getting lot of assists,i still don’t know why he was dropped
Topor-Stanley returns to Socceroos squad
this is the most stupid thing I have ever read. dante won Bayern player of the year in 2012, casillas is in a bad patch of form. and no one has any problems with demichellis. there is no point picking holes in teams that in all honesty, don’t really have one
The worst football players in the best teams
no chance. as much as Adelaide are a solid team, their players just aren’t as good as victory, roar etc. also, if you think signing jeggo is a big signing then you are blind. he was a benchwarmer for victory and the signing of a 31 year old for ward from spains second division is solid, but not anything special. all you have done is replace Neumann with Goodwin, and that is a significant downgrade
Will Adelaide United will win the A-League?
from what I have seen in a.friendlies b. highlights c. goalscoring record. I honestly believe he will win golden boot and even has a chance of becoming more influential than berisha. I also think that, although broich is a good player, this will be his last season as a great player.
Big test awaits Berisha replacement
ropgic isn’t good enough and isn’t playing enough to start in front of jedinak, I say push spira back to replace siansbury, slot jedinak into holding, and put luongo/brillante on for rogic. luongo and brillante both played excellently against suadi arabia
Jedi’s force gets more powerful with Luke in the Socceroos
Europe isn’t the be all end all anymore, there are many leagues around the world where people would rather play

yeah sorry about that I meant Austria, not Australia. I realised it after I posted it

please explain to me what part is nonsense.

um,noone thought greenacre was antyhing special. plus,it also goes the other way. Mario Jardel who scored 130 goals in 125 games for porto and came to the jets aged 33, the jets released him midway through the year because he was so bad. Emile Heskey(although he had patches of quality) who played for some of the top teams in England was so bad at times that a website was named called Whenwillheskeyscore.com. There are many more but at the end of the day It all depends on the persons attitude whether they do well or not. all pros are talented, but when you have a good attitude that’s when you become a star.

A-league players that could survive in the EPL
why is that? hull city captain not good enough for epl? bundelsiga winner who played in the bundelsiga a year ago is not good enough for epl? crystal palace who are a mid-table epl team wanted milligan, but that doesn’t make him good enough to play for an epl team? Liverpool wanted spiranovic back in 2011 but he turned them down because he wanted to start. Ben kantaravski( who is an average player in the league) had a trial for Bayern munich). im not saying any of these guys could play for top teams like Chelsea, man city etc but they could all be signed for lower teams like Leicester, bunrley etc
A-league players that could survive in the EPL
lower epl teams, burnley, leicesteretc don’t pay that much more than a-league. also, many people including koren, villa, brocih could do that but they already have enough money so they want to enjoy football and live in Australia. and you cant tell me villa cant play epl

sorry guys, with janko I meant captain of Austria not Australia, again, sorry

i don’t know, I also am quite excited by the jets ( my team) although we played quite poorly and lost against Brisbane and Sydney, a lot of new players ahev come in that I cant wait to see more of. I will try and write something about it in the near future. in the meantime, why don’t you write one?

I also think burnley had a few more players that could be in that list. Arfield showed last night, and if you watched Ings last year, you would know that he would dominate in the a-league as well. but I think that the top teams in our league e.g. roar, wanderers are a smiliar standard to Burnley, Leicester etc

What about Roly Bonevacia, been the best player in the season IMO but I am a jets fan so anything looks good to me
