How do you talk stats regarding raw numbers between 2 countries of which they have a difference in population of about 900 million…..
Why the Premier League is the best league in the world
In my opinion, this is far more dangerous to the players safety than the pitch itself
"The pitch is almost unplayable": Muscat slams 'unsafe' North Sydney Oval
Theres also Chris Ikonomidis at Lazio Primavera who’s been looking good
Socceroos hopping for a brighter future
When pitches aren’t of good quality fair enough it needs to be improved but when teams and managers complain about it after losing a game i see it as a bit stupid because both teams have the same disadvantages?
Pitch perfect? Wembley surface under fire again
Although i agree Aus can’t hold a world cup for other reasons, considering the United States (larger geographical area) and Brazil (only slightly smaller) your logic is a bit invalid
Report throws more fuel on Qatar 2022 World Cup doubtfire
WHAT??? The ethnic clubs AREN’T bunch of trouble-making scum that deserve to be demonized?? That’s crazy talk!
FFA Cup: Romance dies as Bentleigh finally bow out
But it’s the allocated home game of the respective clubs so it’s their decision to have it where they like and not be forced to remove the HOME game advantage
The Sydney Derby needs to visit ANZ Stadium
I’m not arguing that there’s no problems with it or that it wouldn’t be better to have world-wide regulations or something, i’m just saying that you’re completely wrong in thinking it’s possible, much less definite, within 20 years to have them, it just can’t happen
Wanderers' success prove the salary cap fits the A-League
But you’re talking about one league, if they were to implement this in the EPL, then they have to do it in other leagues too otherwise you got a situation where England is lower quality more even, rest of Europe is as it is. They’re not just competing with themselves, they’re competing against the whole continent, there has to be some form of precedent otherwise it just doesn’t work.
And i’m no expert on the subject but i don’t think football is a very profitable business, the owners often lose millions every season, especially when throwing money at new players. They just do it well….because they can?
Wanderers' success prove the salary cap fits the A-League
It’s a bit unrealistic though because of what’s going to happen to the owners of those few clubs that pump hundreds of millions of dollars to build them up to their current positions
Wanderers' success prove the salary cap fits the A-League
He’s available for Greece as well and he’s gotten called up to their youth squads
Vidmar’s respect for Europe the way forward
What if Al-Hilal won and WSW were denied a couple more than legitimate penalties? You can’t deny that there were genuinely bad calls made, and they’re reacting the exact same as any Aussie would if the Wanderers got the short end of the stick
Wanderers won't dignify Al-Hilal claims
Who the hell would want to upgrade aami park? As it stands, aami is ALREADY too big for City, and is just fine for Victory, bar the 5-6 + finals games a year where they can even remotely hit more. Upgrading/building a new stadium to accommodate a few extra games per year is pretty retarded. boutique stadium for City please and leave Victory sharing aami/etihad, unless you want them looking like the Roar/Sydney/Wellington in their empty monstrosities.
The A-League's Docklands dilemma
I’d rather watch football in my backyard than at the mcg are you serious whats the point of a 20% capacity monstrosity
AFL blames FFA for date row
So because the AFL is so big and strong and already HAS massive stadiums, please explain why they only manage to fill the MCG to capacity a few times a year? I mean surely they don’t need Etihad at a measly 55k if that’s below them
AFL blames FFA for date row
Qatar’s about 7 hours behind us depending on daylight savings i think, so looking at same kind of timings throughout the night as this years Cup
Calls for April World Cup in Qatar
What airstrikes? The U.S drones are drowning in all the oil the Saudi’s are giving them
Just one female Wanderers fan to attend Saudi match
P/R actually makes me laugh there’s no way in hell the FFA is going to let any non-Anglo NPL clubs anywhere near the A-League without stripping them of any cultural background they retain (unless of course it’s Uncle Frank’s team Hakoah)
Lowy flags multi-tier, expanded A-League
His playing ability was obviously undeniable and he can be a handy coach but the things that make people hate him is his pathetic professionalism, lost count of how many people he put in hospital, ridiculous antics etc etc. He’s the biggest wank in football
Muscat revels in A-League derby win
I’m nobody but the point is that attendances aren’t always the whole story, actual tv viewers matter too. But 200 mill Euro’s is closer to 400 mill dollars, much higher than our broadcasted 160 mill dollar deal. We may be matching in attendances but by no means overall viewers
Scrap the salary cap, expand and reward success
When the A-League has the same TV viewership equal to France Ligue 1 and Serie A then come back to me
Scrap the salary cap, expand and reward success
Majority are plastic bandwagoners, main reason i can never take the a-league seriously
Scrap the salary cap, expand and reward success
Exactly, and how can the system that should be used be put in place when the whole country is built on a sports system of plastic teams and plastic fans.
Best example is the Kiwi’s. Generally pulls average crowds of give or take 10k. In the year they got to the prelim finals (2009-10) they started pulling capacity crowds for those games, then oops reality hit next season, back to mediocre.
These bandwagoners aren’t sports fans..
Scrap the salary cap, expand and reward success
So you’re saying Aussies are terribly unloayal fans?
Scrap the salary cap, expand and reward success
I’m a fan of an ex-NSL club, why should i gaze to the A-League? My club still exists and competes in the NPL, and has no prospect of being a part of the top tier, it means nothing to me, same with thousands of other ex-NSL fans.
Time for the FFA to turn potential into results
