I feel like the family pet has just died. I know it’s not the end of the world but it hurts to see this happen to the team that I grew up supporting. That’s how my heart feels but as chris said in the above comment they have been abysmal, it has been year after year of frustration and false dawns when getting a new coach or doing well in the currie cup etc.
So while I am a bit sorry about it I can’t say they don’t deserve it.
What makes me a bit annoyed is the disorganised way in which it all happened, it might have been easier to swallow if it was confirmed last year that the lowest finishing SA team would be relegated but no one knew for sure what was happening.
Myself and the other three Lions supporters hope that they make it back soon.
SARU boot Lions out of Super Rugby
To me swimming is like most Olympic sports, exciting to watch if you have somebody in it to support otherwise I’m not that interested in it, whatever sport it is.
I love the Olympics but to be honest off the top of head I can’t think of one Olympic sport that I have watched in these Olympics that I will care about until the next Olympics.
Swimming as a spectator sport? No thanks
That is what I thought as well. I recently watched a clip about that Roy Jones Jnr fight and it is just unbelievable. Surely there is a way to improve the judging in boxing, this seems to happen too often.
Amateur boxing officiating takes another hit in London
I can’t bear the thought of leaving early when watching sport no matter how bad it looks. Even if its cricket and they need 50 runs off the last over I will be like “Lets stay and watch, maybe they hit six sixes and the bowler bowls four no-balls which also all get hit for six then we win!”.
Or, “What? We need seven converted tries to win the game with three minutes to go? Its possible isn’t it? Lets stay and watch to the end”.
Afterwards though I usually tell myself that I should have just left early and saved myself some time.
Rabbits fans, why would you ever leave early?
Reminds me of one of the most exciting games of rugby I’ve ever seen, Chiefs vs Lions in 2010 at Joburg.
With twenty minutes to go the Chiefs were leading 65-25 then the Lions came back and scored four tries in the last ten minutes, the final result being 72-65 to the Chiefs. What a memorable game that was, as was this one that the Cheetahs won.
Its games like these that get you off you couch shouting at the tv thats for sure.
The most unlikely and remarkable Super Rugby game ever?
I would say they share the blame on this one, Vettel could have made sure he was properly past Karthikeyan before trying to move in front of him but Karthikeyan should also have been sure that Vettel was past before pulling back in the way he did. Karthikeyan made a fair point after the race when he said the back markers also need a bit of respect and can’t be expected to move over onto the grass to let the leaders through every time.
The incident with Button and Karthikeyan was 100% Button’s fault, he admitted as much, so no way Karthikeyan is at fault there.
Vettel is a fantastic driver but no driver irritates me more than him. He seems really petulant and his antics when he is involved in an incident are really childish and it seems that nothing is ever his fault, the incident he had with Weber a few years ago springs to mind.
Plus, its not like he has never made mistakes and crashed into other cars so he should know that it happens sometimes.
Angry Sebastian Vettel labels Karthikeyan a 'cucumber'
Now all that needs to happen is for the 4 or 5 players left who are not in the leadership group to form their own followship group and elect elect a leadership group for the followship group who will represent the followship group when something is dicussed with the leadership group.
Then all of the coaching staff will also want their own group to be represented.
Of course there will need to be a group commitee formed to manage all these groups.
Yeah, when will it end.
AFL clubs' leadership groups getting out of hand
Rumbustious I kind of agree with you but on the other hand I am also glad that they check this, it is incredibly annoying when a batsmen (or two) is given out off a no-ball that wasn’t picked up and the team ends up losing the test by a small margin.
Maybe they should try a different technology whereby there is an instant pick up of a no-ball, a sensor of some sort on the bowler’s side that can tell if he oversteps the line and gives a beep like they do in tennis.
Leave no-ball decisions to the on-field umpires
