Who would? It’s far too charismatic.
Just because you don’t love Spidercam doesn’t mean Mark Nicholas and I can’t.
Broadcasters getting too close to the action
I’m expecting its own Channel 9 sitcom soon.

I disagree. It is spoken about on-air with much fondness.

I don’t think people are being ‘offended’ at all. Considering there is criticism coming in from an international team I would say the topic is very well open to discussion.

I completely agree with you and am a big fan of the finals format you have suggested.
Time to change the BBL finals
This was a great read, Tim. Except for that part about Space Jam being an atrocity. I demand you take that back!

I think Stewart is a good fit at Manly and in the structure played at Manly but I do not think he is the option for NSW. In my opinion he does not match up to Dugan and Hayne in one of the most vital aspects of the fullback role and that is kick returns. Dugan and Hayne are genuine threats on kick returns which is a huge part of State of Origin, not being forced back by your opposition. These two guys are big, strong, quick and elusive. They are extremely difficult to tackle. Stewart is a much different fullback. He plays the sweeping role ball player style, but I am not sure this will translate well to NSW’s attacking roles with our halves. In my opinion it has to come down to Dugan and Hayne. I would have both in the side somewhere because they can break a game on their own. Everyone will disagree on their preferences, but I just do not see Stewart as the kind of guy that can break open Queensland.
In saying all that, you do make some solid observations. Stewart may be a “safer” option but I’m not sure that’s what we need. Can’t wait for the series.
NSW should go with Stewart not Dugan
I agree with you that the backlash on Elliott has been quite harsh. It seems like getting the Warriors to perform consistently is as hard a task as you can get. Hopefully Elliott isn’t lost on the game. He is a great personality. I’m sure he will fit right into a media role if his coaching options have expired.
